Hi,

I am putting my RB20DET together. I have a new stock head gasket and a cometic metal head gasket. The cometic gasket doesent have any silikon or coating on it. Just bare metal. I am cuorius how much the std. gasket will hold with ARP bolts. Or of the cometic gaskets allways seal.

Hope someone has a clue.

I've heard of a lot of bad results with cometic gaskets and people swearing that a stock gasket is better.

Rb20's as a rule don't have many head gasket issues. I would stick with the stock one if it was me.

The ARP bolts will be fine with any gasket.

Adam on this forum is making 370 rwhp with a bone stock rb20. So I think thats an easy rule of thumb of how much power an rb20 gasket can take.

The only other option I would look at is a Tomei one.

Just my opinions, take m or leave m :P
