this is a street car with the intended squirt at the track/circuit. I am looking for more response from low-mid range. What is next on the list in terms of mods. looking for around 300-350kws. thanks guys. BTW the car is an R32 Gtst with R34 RB25 neo conversion

Your not going to get much more response than whatever you have now. If its too laggy, the tune needs attention.

As with a .63 it should be pretty savage and on boost reasonably early 4krpm.

Cams might help, might not. Your restricted by the rear housing so options are tight... and 300rwkw will be tight to attain with the .63 as well, let alone 350rwkw which is out of reach well and truly.

What you really need is cooling and lots of it. Oil cooler of a good size is paramount, and a good radiator.

Hopefully the motor was built with the right oil mods aswell, otherwise your going to have issues.

Then some decent semi comp rubber and get at it really.

Oh, and brakes as well, stock brakes aren't going to be anywhere near upto task.

the above 3 things will see a good 5k. And will be of more benefit than trying to chase a few 100rpm of response.

I agree with Nismoid, with the current turbo setup you ain't going to get anything more responsive then that. Poncams on a NEO engine should net you a beefier torque curve giving you better response, but apart from changing the turbo there isn't going to be much more you can do. What power output are you pushing now?

Yep if you're going to take it to the track definately look into the engine oil modifications, oil cooler, new radiator, bigger brakes, braided lines, master stopper etc. But apart from that I'd say what you listed up there is a great all round package.

Nah its not incredibly laggy i just wanted a bit more of a push back in the seat. boost comes on about 3 and I have full by 4--4 and a half. Maybe whinding up boost should do the trick. It runs 3 stages. 5psi,10psi,15psi. What would be safe to whind it up to assuming I get an oil cooler and radiator and cams/plazmaman plenum?

What oil cooler and radiator are a good/reliable choice? and how much roughly?

What do you mean by the RIGHT OIL MODS?

yeh i was about to wack some poncams and a new plenum on there to see how that went but now im a little worried i should be leaning towards these engine oil mods first????

should poncams be before or after an oil cooler/new radiator?

power at the moment is about 250ish rwkw's but thats still on a light tune that I had from the run in of the motor.

In a way you are at a dead end, your going to spend big money for smaller gains now (plenum/cams etc etc)

Yeah, 15psi around 4-4.4 sounds spot on. Winding the boost wont bring it on any earlier though.

It will just feel more snappy when it comes on boost. I went from 17 to 24psi and the car was totally different to drive.

It felt lazy on 17psi in a way.

Oil mods see here, if its not looked into, i wouldn't be tracking a 300rwkw RB25 personally.

Around $600 rings a bell, and it can easily get into 800+ depending on what you go for.

Unless you intend to pull down you're engine down again #3 will be the only one applicable.

For response/earlier boost: Adjustable cam gears, cams, different fuel, lightened flywheel/other parts, diff gears, more tuning, larger dia throttle body, Bigger dump pipe etc. HKS or someone make an exhaust valve thing that allows some back pressure at lower rpm to help boost build up, as the volume of gas flowing through increases the valve fully opens and operates as a normal straight though section of pipe. Some people have had success with these on very laggy applications.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve. 
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
