i got pulled over by a detective once, because i crossed a solid white line. basically because he wasnt a traffic cop there wasnt much he could do.

so he called out 2 traffic cops, they checked my licence, gave me the breatho and sent me off again.

maybe because he was a drug team cop, it was out of his control. just an idea anyway.

Dude dont go, does he have any proof that he caught you ie piece of paper with your sig on it or did he issue u a fine? well im sure he didnt so what proof does he have that he caught you driving unliscenced there aint much he can do....

and honestly i dont think what you did was stupid just very very unlucky :)

lol the joys of waiting its like when you go through a speed camera and you think did it get me or the guy next to me ... just be paitent im sure all will be revealed

you think all this officer does is think about you in the skyline whilst he was walking his wife im sure hes got more important things to do

but if he does knock on you door just say 'ah hi been meaning to come down forgot which police station "insert many other excuses here"

just remeber be polite and dont say that you didnt not drive

pfffft.

if he doesnt show a badge you dont have to do ANYTHING, the only reason the police can legally FORCE you to the station is if you are under arrest.

my mum is a lawyer and my dad is a federal cop. All you EVER need to say to a police officer is your name, DOB and address. You dont need to say anything else, even if you are under arrest, only time you need to say something is in court.

Hell, i know when my old man is at work, and i also know his last name...how do you know this guy wasnt playing you for a fool, whos been in the same situation and happened to get that story from the REAL seargent wheeler, how do you know hes not seargent wheelers brother.

im not saying do or dont go, just letting you know your rights as a citizen, hell sif even hand your license over to some random dude CLAIMING to be a cop, sif even stop.

the only time you stop is when the lights are flashing and sirens are sounding, and the only time you hand your license over is when a clothed cop or a undercover with a badge asks for it.

hell your more of a moron for listening to this dude, rather than driving unlicensed.

i know this sounds harsh but as much as the police are there to protect the community, they have to follow rules too, and no ones knows them as well as they do.

as i said, dont act on what i am saying, just take it into consideration. if you end up going to jail im not bringing you the lube :)

dont go

iv been pranked into this situation b4, for other shit an went in an basicly dobed my self in, to the person behind counter an they could see wat was goin on an told me to leave quickly. u may not b as lucky, but risk it i think. if u got the balls if not go in an suk one for the team may work for u as he is drug team they dont normaly go hard on u just giv u a lecture then spank u once an let u go

pfffft.

+1 couldnt agree more

is states it in the miranda rights which australia doesnt have but when they arest you they have to tell you you have the right to an attorney if you can afford one, one will be apointed to you by the courts you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law...

man this 1 is an easy one

if he really wants u, he'd take ur details down (if he's the real cop)

but im pretty confident this guy just wanted to pull your leg and he did a good damn job

u'd be ok on this one,

    • Block bump. $400. As above cyl 6 needs bore or sleeve.
    • I would think making the argument that the travel is limited by a spring flexing against a spring perch as "the same method". Later on in the document they do state that the spring can't bind on full bump travel and cannot come loose in full rebound travel as well. (which is all very sensible). The laws are actually pretty sensible and reasonable. It's just that the people who enforce and check them don't actually read them or know them accurately. "Oh, coilovers? Instant fail mate. Don't even need to look at it." - Guy who will be instantly reported by me. There is probably merit to people who do get defected for height also get defected for the suspension in that state that allows it. I did never consider the people who are complaining about coilovers being picked on are also running around at 50mm off the floor.
    • I think given SAU's knowledge of E85 we can strongly conclude that 10% ethanol in almost any situation is entirely fine. Almost all of the myths against E85 were overblown, let alone E10.
    • From your link See bold text, is this referring to damper settings, if so that may a issue for "some" inspectors, I cannot see aftermarket coilovers having the evidence that "must be available that its functional performance is equivalent to the original" Maybe just remove the adjustment knows and hope for the best???? Meh 5.2 Suspension travel In all instances, modifications to a vehicle’s suspension must ensure the integrity of the system and not compromise the ride quality. At least two thirds of the original suspension travel should be maintained in both directions (rebound (i.e. extension) and bump (i.e. compression)), and rebound must be limited by the same method used by the vehicle manufacturer or if this is not practicable due to the nature of the modification, an equivalent method. If an alternative method is used, evidence must be available that its functional performance is equivalent to the original.
    • They actually don't - They adhere to VSB14 rules just like Victoria. The rules are against CABIN adjustable height, and it quite clearly states that the height has to be within parameters. I asked the VASS engineer to confirm this when I got my car engineered and they refused to engineer the coilovers because they didn't meet the requirements for requiring engineering. (mine are height adjustable.) People "Not wanting to bother" with "Actually reading/knowing/adhering to the rules" should result in fines and immediately losing the ability to issue blue slips and/or RWC's in Vic.
