Look forward to seeing the pics...

As for the plates, most people think they mean "He's Low" or "He's Slow" :( But that's not the case, long story short, in High School, a good friend lived with his grandma; she was Russian. When she answered the phone, she didn't say "Hello" but due to her accent said "Heslo" We used it all the way through year 8 till even now and when I signed up here, just picked that as my user name.

There ya go boys and girls, little bit of history for ya :)

and heres me thinking it was 'HELSO" lol

lysdexia ftw

i was close i thought it was your name theres a UK show with a Mrs Buckett and her brother or brother in law is heslo

LOL on further research is onslow hahahah close but still no price maybe heslo is his brother

Keeping Up Appearances

Well that was one hell of a well-organised and executed cruise. It was by chance that I ended up coming along on this one. My mate Antony (think his nick on here is "FULLBOOST", with the very nice black R32 GTR) dragged me along and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was great to finally meet some people from SAU as I have massive respect for all skylines.

BTW, I was the dude with the FD RX7 (its for sale if anyone is interested).

Cheers,

Sam

Awesome day out as I would think most would agree! It was my first and looking forawrd to the next

I have posted some photos up that I took from the day at the following address. I have some more post processing work to do on them though.

Please respect copyright and don't go posting them all over the web, link to that page

you finally seen the light and getting a GTR :domokun::blush:

was nice collection of cars from what i could see, spewing i couldn’t go on the whole cruize but i had to pull over and start spewing on the side of the road about 5km into the run  someone should of got a pic of that, skylines marking there territory

apologies to the silver 33 stuck behind me but I was going slow in the hope that I could keep going on the cruize but after a few tight turns in a row there was rumble in the gut and fortunately I pulled over in time so no skyline interior was harmed in the vomit that followed. it was at this point I decided it was best to give up on the cruize as vomit in the car would make me an unhappy chappy.

was out drinking hard Saturday as it was the start of uni holidays, chucked in the morn then washed the car(I was eager to go on this cruize :D ), felt like crap but made it with 2min to spare before the cruize.

and by the way I had the blue 32 that rocked up last. That’s the midnight blue only a crazy fool would get resprayed over, looks at a certain bright blue skyline :O nah looks good man, some bling factor going on there

sorry i didnt come fellas i was wasted badly. - like vlad. woke up at like 3pm, and went "OH f**k!"

Hey I still went, toughen up :)

well as you see above it wasn’t that long I lasted. :) i shoulda probably slept in aswell.

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
