yeh alright carter we believe you..... wont be long and you'll be able to say how hots that 260 at the front of the last pic :laughing-smiley-014:

very nice looks like you guys had a great day :(

was that datto on ebay a few months ago?

it could have been, im not sure. My mate did just buy it about a month ago has rb20det

lol leetom, i bloody hope so!! I found out its coming via sealed container now!! Thats why its taking a little while longer, I dont mind waiting an extra few weeks to make sure it isn't damaged and all my parts are missing :D

Sorry I wasnt there, it took me just over 10 hours to drive 600kms, thanks to a 4hour stop over in Gin Gin with a suspected dead fuel pump, but then after a bloody brilliant person came out to rescue me and helped me rewire the pump I was on my way, but got into brissie at ~10am and I was stuffed....................... :) My stagea is now in Sydney.

Next is a stocker VS commo wagon, with 285,000 kms on the clock, and pay off the house as much as possible.

Probably get into go-karting later on to satisfy my need for speed urge.

So is there a VS commo wagon forum?

I can see them all running away. . . .

My condolences, Ska... First to lose the Stagea, then to have to be subjected to a Commodore, then to be forced into flannies and trackies almost permanently (the stonewash jeans and "good" flannies can come out for special events, right?)...

    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
    • There is an ABS pump and a few solenoids. You could trigger the front/rear solenoids with a pressure bleeder attached with a Consult 2.
    • I love saying Samsonas lol. Maybe it's because I secretly want one, but also don't want to sell a kidney.
    • My budget has already blown way out but I've got most of the big-ticket items out of the way haha I just got the box back from the shop, got them to inspect it and install one of those refresh kits with all new syncros and bearings so should feel much nicer. But yeah if there's a weak point it'll be the gearbox, I'm gonna roll with it for now and hope it holds together. Do have an Xtreme organic sprung twinplate clutch to go in so if/when the box lets go I'll be back open for suggestions haha
    • Dose salivating at the prospect of being able to recommend a gearbox upgrade!
