Yeah dudes, I'll let you know when I am ready to strip tease. First passes will be without the right rubber so it should be good for a laugh but I cant wait to get some serious boots on and give it a real shot. :)

Keep the tread on topic, all posts not relating to the topic will be deleted as per usuall rules.

SAU does not need a bunch of clowns, there are plenty at the EKKA.

Noel please continue, your thread is clean!!!

Good call Col. What you need to do is start a new thread Listing your mods. You could also throw up pics of your dyno runs showing boost etc.

Then toss in the time slips showing those 10 second 130 mph passes and that will shut the farkers up.

that will shut the farkers up. :nyaanyaa:

No it won't.

So when's the tuning?

And where are you taking her for her first run?

And just an edit on the mod list Noel. The Balancer is a ROSS Tuffbond, The valves are Ferrea and springs are made by PSI

Nah, not into that sorta thing.

More than happy to explain if someone asks me a question as you and Adam have before over a beer.

I guess ive never finished my project hence why ive never published a full list of mods in one place.

I mean I have published when ive done a few bits and pieces here and there but never compiled a full list like you have done on page 1.

As for 10 second passes ive never claimed to run a 10, all ive said is my trap speeds are in 10 second country.

Ive never had a chance to run the quarter on anything other than shitty second hand rubber at street pressure.

If I rolled the guards and put the MT's on I reckon id be a shoe in for an 11 no worries without touching anything else.

But its all about how you do in the first 60 foot that matters, everything from there is just hanging on. :P

I have no doubt you would run an 11 out of the box, in time/practice (you never know the same night as your first run) you migt hit a high 10.

All depends on your tyre/suspension package and if you can hook up or not without loosing too much time.

Well you dont need me to explain, you know it.

Cheers Col

PS. I found one time slip thats got a 121mph pass on it, its the one I used to list my official best run at willowbank in the timeslip thread in events.

Damn it we want mod list right down to the servo you go to exact place and what petrol you use damn you COL :D since when was this a thread of discussing whos got what against what? Next thing they'll say the ole 'mine is bigger than yours statement' ah the school yard days eh.... Meh im bored btw what day you getting it tuned whilst staying on topic noel.

I understand that in your modesty you have no desire to go grandstanding mate but the idea is to sell your car up to make it more attractive to a potential buyer.

My apologys for the 10 second call, I thought i read your for sale thread heading it as a 10 second car. I cant find your thread btw, You need to bump it up so buyers can see it.

The other good idea is that willowbank have records of every pass ever made since it opened. Gotta loove the puda era. You can contact them and they can send you a copy of your 130 mph pass. It's another strong selling point.

In the current market sellers need all the help they can get and these are great selling aids so it could well be in your interest to produce them. ;)

Would 130mph blow my grey hair out? :P

i dont think so, but im sure old, fragile bones start decintergrating at around that speed? :thanks:

im also under the impression that falsified teeth start falling out/breaking up at around that speed too :)

    • Man, different parts but the same numbers is terrible @dbm7! And it doesn't help that most online shops don't list the part numbers at all. They just give a list of compatible models...
    • Slow when hot could also be because its getting more dynamic compression, OR things are getting a bit tighter once it is all expanded. If it were an earthing issue, typically I'd expect you to have it have issues all the time. Unless it's really a combination of both things. Where the higher compression, and things being a bit tighter, is giving that bit of extra load and you do need a slight clean up on the cables/connections.
    • Yeah, this is one of the most annoying things about nissan part numbers... I've got an unrelated example... Image is of the AT output shaft ~ they have the same part#, but clearly the shaft on the left is beefier design to that on the right ...the difference (essentially) is the 'lighter' shaft on the right, is for engines up to RB25DE (this includes RB20 variants) : the shaft on the left is for RB25/26DET(T)....are they interchangeable? Yes...but obviously one shaft is going to be stronger than the other...and, the lighter shaft is around USD115, but the heavier shaft closer to USD150...same part#... ...epc-data usually tells a tale ~ the amayama listing for 39100-23U60 has a note "Longest side is between 60 and 105 cm" ; no such info is there for 39100-23U70 ...and given the great disparity in price between the 2 parts, it makes me at least curious (to the point of caution) where the 'extra money' went? ...ie; these 2 parts have a cost difference that (to myself at least) isn't explained by 'plastic boot'...ie; with amayama there's AUD700 price difference ...plastic versus rubber?...I'm not seeing it like that...and 60cm ~ 105cm...??...that's a huge disparity....something hinky going on here... I'd try searching by VIN, not model... /2cents
    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
