id go 430 for rb 20 and 480 for 25 (based on what i saw from the Forced Induction - Turbo upgrade threads).

Also the GT Autosound LS1 R34 is using twin KKR turbos.

Ive read they are German made...so it must be good :)

here is all the stuff on the kkr 480

I think you are thinking of the KKK turbochargers which are German.

These ones are chinese turbos, and they are crap to say the least.

Reported needs of fijity modifications to the dump pipe to fit it on the stock manifold, and because of these modifications the turbo could be put on with a bit of stress on one side of the mounts which will cause something to break. Also you have to watch out for the oil lines going to the turbo and find out if they have to be bigger or not... Sounds like a whole lot of stuffing around if you ask me or anyone else in forced induction.

Suit VL Commonwhores.

hahaha so what would be the best turbo for price and drifting out of all the turbos and could you give me a little bit of info on them because im researching and trying to get the best value for money and i dont want some crap chinese turbo that will blow up as soon as it hits the boost

to be honest, to be proper you would want to have about 2,500 bucks handy and set aside for doing it and have an EMU already.

I have a highflow turbo and its on the stock ecu and im getting, well i was getting 230kms per tank while driving. not exactly good economy. Tune it with a power fc or an emanage and expect it to feel much better and return good economy.

What turbo you ask? a Garrett or a HKS option would be good. I have heard nothing but good things about HKS GT-RS.

I have just installed a KKR430 turbo to my RB20. The bolt on really easy. I got the RB dump pipe to suit too, so that made life a little easier too. The only mods you have to do are the turbo outlet (not being the normal three bolt nissan, so it takes a silicone 90degree bend and a bit of intercooler piping to fix) the turbo inlet (I just cut down my standard intake pipe so it was big enough to fit) and a little bit of grinding on a bulbus fixing point for a bolt on the exhaust manifold. So all up it was a really easy fit!

Hey guys

Yeah i ran one on my Cefiro last year, good turbos for the price however without a tune/remap they are ultra laggy, as you would expect throwing a larger then stock turbo on without touching it. With a remap i picked up a fair wack of responce but i still had no power below 4000 rpm... above that it just took off.

Then on the 32 i fitted a Sliding highflow on my rb20, which i found to be better in terms of responce and power, not to mention ease of fit.

I now have a RB25 and stock turbo lol... but im more then happy with it atm (215 rwkw and loads of torque)

i had a kkr 430 on my rb25det. it was alright i thought. had no problem with it at all. but id go with the hks gt-rs aswell. heard very good feedback on them. and has a nice power curve. i think im going highmount on my next rb25.

    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
    • Final update!!! Got the front bar fitted and sprayed and all sorted now. My cutouts worked great and the indicators aren’t just falling off. 😂
