idling is a bastard when cold. not sure if it has a cold start built in? accually thinking of putting in a manual choke. The td06 come on boost bout 4300 and full boost at 5000, it will spin the wheels in 3gear on boost in the dry and all gears in the wet. It revs all the way to 9000 in 5th gear, not sure what speed that is though??

Your cold idle problem is easily fixed, take it to your tuner and they will sort it with just a few cold starts if not get back to me and i'll give you some pointers!

But how does you car return to idle when warm, and how high is the idle? Mine stalls if set to 750rpm when pulling up at a set of lights, if done gently it idles fine but you carn't even free rev it without it coughing and splutering!!

I have the plug in microtech installed in my r33 for a couple of weeks now. I have had poor fuel consuption although installing an air temp sensor might help this problem. Also i am going back to set up the cruise mode properly to my driving conditions for max and safe fuel consumption. At the moment i have managed about 250kms out of a full tank and driving conservatively. Although idle is fine and the power curve seems smooth.

The difference of an aftermarket ECU is defiately worth while in a performance point of view. I have noticed a good power gain all round.

So what mods has you car got to go along side the computer, everyone seems to have lots of expensive gear alone with it. Who is doing the tuning for u. If i dare say so the air temp sender will not help fuel consumption but asist the car to run well in all wether conditions! Are you running the base prgram on normal mode to use this much fuel?

This not idling in the wet is interesting do you have the aditional air temp sender?

Hi guys, this is my fist time at this so forgive me if I write something stupid. Just about to install my LT12 which I got from RPM. Firstly I must get rid of the dreaded misfire at 4500 - 5000 rpm which only developed 2 weeks ago. Have changed and gapped plugs to .8 and running standard boost, no luck, about to test coil packs.

The standard computer doesn't use one so there isn't a Nissan one as such but when they installed the Microtech it is also optional! Have a look in the plenum or more likly in the piping that runs from the intercooler to the throtle body. It look like a threaded gold sensor with a grey plug and two wires coming from it one black ( running back to the computer ) and one Brown to earth or vise versa it doesn't matter!

Its about the size of a large thumb and has Delco written on it.

The off boost drivability is magic. It is just like a N/A.

I didn't think it possible and I thought my tuner was bullsh&tting me when he said it would be better than it was before.

When the revs hit nearly 4,000 is when the power magic happens. (I also got a 500hp turbo installed)

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
