yeh the afms have been giving me a headache of late lol. i know that they are to blame tho.

when im on the road again ill hit you up mike :D

Na its cool ill get some stuff tonight.. ill make a salad aswell... and before you can say anything BEN,.. yes you do make friends with salad!!

it sucks about the house roo.. but it will all be worth it :D Tracy will be ok with it.

Hey Roo, I've got a great conveyancer who can settle properties in under 2 wks which is usually faster than a bank can register and prepare docs (quickest time was 8 days but banks won't move quicker than that). You've got to be prepared to play courier boy though.

If you ever need another conveyancer again, PM me.....he's cheap to. :D

ahhh the guy who hit my car and never paid me for the damages lives out there. he threatend to get a restraining on me he i kept bothering him about the money. could be a good reason to head down there.

Kye, if you've already sent the guy a letter of demand and still no luck, go to magistrates court in Vic Square and organize a summons (between $50 - $80).

If I go to Wallaroo & Kadina, I'll serve him for you at no cost (and give him a piece of your mind).

When he goes to court he'll pay all costs and you'll also recover the summons fee (as long as you can prove you were in the right).

If he doesn't show, magistrate can make a judgement and rule without him....usually in your favour.

pete, im sort of in the same boat.

i got hit in my VT, i had 3rd party only, he had no insurance.

repair bill for my car was 5.5g, my insurance agreed to only pay 3 thousand.

they where going to recover the full amount for repair + excess off of him, and forword the

2.5 thousand that i had to pay out of my own pocket once he pays.....

he hasnt even started to pay them back yet, and i am no longer insured by this particular company.

this was over 2 years ago now,

where do i stand? and what can i do to get my money back?

Just got off the phone with shaun at bootworks, they advised me my car has been tuned.......

296.7 rwkw's at 17psi not bad for a GTR with just basic mods (filters, exhaust and N1 turbos)

Thats pretty good mate, mine makes 284 rwkw, but my standard injector are at 100% :D

thanks for that pete.

it happened awhile ago and i didnt bother with a police report as he was a friend of a friend and i have witnesses to it as well. he backed a trailer into the front of my car when it was parked at mallala race track in the pits.

the damage wasnt very costly but that wasnt the point. the point was i let him off with it and didnt report him (even though he didnt come up to me and say sorry, flick went and got him. i dont think he was going to confess to it untill he found out there was witnesses) then went and threatend me about asking for him to repay for the damages.

i pretty much let it go as he lives out in the sticks but i might make a few phone calls and f**k his week up in return to messing me around!

thanks again pete!!!

Craig, you say you only had 3rd Party yet they gave you money for your car???

Don't think there's a 'statute of limitations' but you'll still be quizzed as to why it wasn't a priority earlier and what's changed to make it important now.

Also no point in going to court without all appropriate documentation, i.e. original copy of 'letter of demand', original quotes for repair, all liaison with previous insurance company and monies already paid, witness statements, an accurate recollection of dates and events, etc, etc.

If you do still decide to go down that road, I'll serve him for you at no charge also.

Thanks pete,

they gave me the 3 grand beacause it was an ''extended poilicy'' through RAA.

thats all i was entitled to if damage to my vehicle occured, from an uninsured driver.

which in my case, happened.

the reason i have left it so late, is because i was leaving it inRAA's hands, and now it seems they have put it on the bottom of the pile i supose, maybe because i am no longer a customer.

only documentation i have is my police report number, and my qoution/reciepts etc.

he did not make a police report.

i should also mention that he was 100% at fault...

he rear ended me at 65 kph while i was stationary at a train crossing

wow, that's a good insurance company then.

shouldn't matter that you're no longer with them, you paid their premium back then.

If you still have an accurate recollection of events and dates, it's really up to you whether you feel like going thru with it again.

yeah i have an accurate recollection of what happened.

i might just give RAA a call tomorrow, to see where he is at.

if he has started to make payments since last time i called them

then ill leave it at that.

this money will come in handy to us at the moment.

ill keep you posted pete, thanks mate.

ps, any chance i could have a look at the mag in which your bike graces the cover?

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
