Sorry mitch, but I can't see anyone paying $12k for a non-turbo. Like steve said, maybe $9k is closer to the mark.

yeah no joke , gonna wait and see what happens with my financial today , if it goes according to plan ill drop the price in order to sell asap

plus im gonna speak to my dad when he lands in Melbourne and see what he takes on it .

im trying to get my mate who just bought a skyline yesterday who cant handle the power and wants to return it to stock standard to consider trade plus cash his way

as all he is wanting is a skyline he can daily to work and back and im sure mines perfect for him , plus he isnt a car person .

doesnt know what a hicas lock bar is or what coilovers are so...

time will tell :P

Swap + $ with your mate seems like the best way to go - convince him of this. Maybe swap cars for a day or two to see if he likes the idea? Saves you the hassle of having to sell & buy again.

yeah thats what im thinking , the only thing is he is fair sketchy on manual and i got to drive his car around all day yesterday although it does have a TODA Racing clutch which is really hard compared to a normal

clutch so im pretty sure he would be fine in my car as my clutch is light as in comparison , but yeah im gonna suggest that to him today because he likes the r33 but he wants to return the one he got to stock ,

and last night he called me saying he regretted buying the car he did as it had too much power...

hopefully he is willing to trade

GL with the sale mitch, good car for someone who already has an engine they wanna drop in, your paintwork is immaculate.

cheers damo !

even all of my mates agree with my cars body and paint and how immaculate it is :P

well, Ive been quoted petrol money change out of 2grand to fit and tune the following:

Cometic intake manifold gasket

Cometic intake collector gasket

Cometic exhaust gasket

Cometic Head gasket 1.2mm x 87mm

ARP head stud kit

EPP 6mm viton Intake valve seals

EPP 6mm viton Exhaust valve seals

EPP Intake valve seats

EPP Exhaust valve seats

EPP Intake valve guides

EPP Exhaust valve guides

Q45 90mm throttle body

Greddy Q45-RB25 adapter kit

EPP clear cam gear timing belt cover

Tomei oil gallery restrictor orifice

Tomei hi-lift valve springs ~8.8mm

Tomei 256/256 poncam camshaft set

Gates Racing timing belt kit incl. tensioner and idler

2x 700cc Sard injector external intake manifold setup

ryco oil filter, oil filter magnet set & Motul 4100 turbolite 10/40w oil

Need a controller for the extra injectors tho........................

expect, with the sards, there should be enough fuel injc. headroom to push a nice comfortable 230kw tune., with heaps big torque

:P

then thats it, bar pistons/rings and rods/bearings; maybe in 5yrs time. lol

hey Tangles, have you already purchased all the aforementioned head related parts or are you planing to get them.

Different if you already have, but if you haven't, IMHO I would do pistons & maybe rods 1st.........would also be cheaper than all the stuff you've mentioned but only a little more in labour costs

yeah thats what im thinking , the only thing is he is fair sketchy on manual and i got to drive his car around all day yesterday although it does have a TODA Racing clutch which is really hard compared to a normal

clutch so im pretty sure he would be fine in my car as my clutch is light as in comparison , but yeah im gonna suggest that to him today because he likes the r33 but he wants to return the one he got to stock ,

and last night he called me saying he regretted buying the car he did as it had too much power...

hopefully he is willing to trade

what sort of power has your mates car got if it too much for him :P thought TODA only did toyota parts

will msg you tonight when i get home

    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
