I'll travel one day.

Im pretty much a woose and dont want to leave the saftey of Australia.

Plus I only will be paying an extra 50-100bucks more a week then I do now. I have managed to save while renting so hopefully ill still manage to save a small amount so I can afford a holiday when I grow some balls.

If things go bad with my partner, we will just sell up. We cut everything down the line now and thats how we will do the house too.

Anyway finance might not get approved and then im back at square one!.... although devine claim no deposit...if that happens ill just save the shit out of my money.

i used to be the same, liked being all safe and sound at home. but over the last 2 years that safety net has gone to shit. so i figure i may aswell go out and enjoy life.

and my life here is starting to bore the shit out of me, starting to get a bit tired of the same old thing, same drive into work, same daily, same train, same friends, same tv shows, same tv. etc.

so i figure something new is in order, wake up early in the mornings, have a coffee more the fact thats its freezing freaking cold rather than the usual morning pick me up, throw on a parka, grab my snowboard and hit the slopes. then go to work. thats something id enjoy. so its what im gonna do.

Yes but people could afford to buy them if some people out there didn't have 10 houses.

id say the issue is there isnt enough houses around, someone gota pay for them to be built. ppl to eager to have everything now and dont think about the future.

im building just got my fhbg >_< wanna get a second investment but not sure how i can make that work just yet.

i used to work 50 hr weeks plus 2 uni courses heading for exams, weekends were spent catching up on hw and sleep and i hardly seen the sun for about 2months. come into work and get told i wasnt doing enough. good times good times could see that was gonna last a while

lets all just b doll bludgers n get a housing trust house, whos with me

and adrian buy something that dont look like a box if you gonna dump money on it >_< ae86 i hear is kinda cool.

onejayzed.

if you like firey death thatd be awesome.

srsly, 1/2J in a ke-sev would suck. youd constantly be battling understeer, and as soon as it caught a whiff of boost, itd throw in power oversteer just to keep you on your toes.

heavy ass high block in the front end would fail. hard.

1UZ is a good match. all alloy, makes 191kw out of the box, would be spastic, but you wouldnt be renewing your life insurance policy every time you drove it either.

my ideal 'rolla would be all white, chrome bumpers, jap 4 light front end with spoiler, 15x10 -4 watanabe's, semi's, all metal overfenders, manual 1UZ, the biggest brakes i could fit behind the wheels, and a couple era specific fixed backs. and itd be scraping rails of course.

yeah correct, but if you don't get into the housing market now, you'll never get in.

On the other hand, if you spruce up and present your current house well for a sale of approx $50K over it's current twin in the same area, then manage to grab a bargain in a better area for approx $50 cheaper than its twin in the same location, you've not only made $100K with no capital gains tax to pay (other than agent fees and stamp duty), but you're now in an area that has more potential for capital growth.

You can't do any of that if you aren't even in the market to start off with......hence why I said to Penny that she should get into the market by any means possible ASAP.

Rents will get crazy very soon with vacancy rates at record lows, especially when the FHBG goes and 1st home buyers disappear......RENT = throwing dead money away, hand over fist.

Yeah I get you.

I guess what Im trying to say is.

Id rather buy a decent house. work on it. live in it. not sell it.

You buy a house for lets say $250k. you sell it some years later for $350k. You buy another house for $350k, ok. The new house valued at 350K was also probably worth $250k when you bought the first house. Follow ? Have you stepped up in terms of owning a better house ?

I would rather live life, buy a decent house and be done with it. there are enough dilemmas in modern day life to worry about selling buying selling buying.

Hoorah to the cock on the scooter at lunchtime today riding down Greenhill Road. Dude's got a death wish.

Watched him changed lanes from the RH lane to the centre lane over the top of a car!!! Using his shitty 60kg scooter to hustle a 1500kg car! Madness. Car had to brake and even missed him by inches. Then he changes lanes to the LH lane behind me and tailgates me for 200m to Unley Road intersection. I tapped my brakes beforehand, he grabbed a handful of brakes, then curses me for giving him a friendly warning to back off.

When I stopped at the lights, I got out and while he's shitting himself, I removed his keys and tossed them in the parklands. Told the dumb f**k to commit suicide elsewhere.

f**k I hate scooter riders >_<

Fkn LOL! Would've loved to have seen that!!!

Done it many times before ... but normally I'm on one of my bikes when I do it. Usually get the show offs on the 250s acting like twats and taking stupid risks. I usually grab their helmet by the chin guard as I remove their keys, so they can't see me doing it. Then toss them away. Trust me ... I'm doing them a favour.

I was in the stag when I saw this fool. Guaranteed he wouldn't have insurance. Hit the back of my stag and I'll be pissed. Figured it was appropriate to continue with my "rider safety awareness" and toss the keys. Give him something to think about while he looks for them.

Said something like: "Are you f**king stupid. You can't ride, so get the f**k off the road." (toss the leys)

>_<

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
