Hi guys,

Real quick one, I presume the PFC reads the two wire ECU water temp sensor correct? I see in sensorcheck its reads as a voltage and in display you can see the actual temp in deg, it looks correct but I seem to have symptoms of a faulty temp sensor where the car runs poorly getting to opperating temps, once at temp it runs spot on,

Also, somone once posted optimised splitfire dwell settings when using the FC-edit, also for RB25DET S1, cant seem to find it when searching, anyone know what they are?

Regarding the splitfire dwell settings..

If its not broke don't fix it.

If it is broke check your not getting a voltage drop; if so fix it if not then consider fiddling; but that is to be done by the tuner with the required tools to measure coil saturation etc. :)

Thanks Mafia,

Just want to try the "optimized" setting before I go and pull the splitfires out and put the stockers back in to rule them out as possible cause of faliure.

Ill do a search for the voltages/pins to check for voltage drop as well while im at it.

      I've replaced the front brakes of my NA to 324 brembos and 350z calipers: i'm going for 225/40-18 up front and 245/35-18 in the back. I have Rays 7.5*19 ET35(225/35) in the front with 5mm spacers otherwise the calipers "lock up/ won't rotate". When i use the calculator i come up with 8*18 ET30 for 225/40...... but not sure i get problems with the calipers. Anyone riding around with 18 inch. that can confirm "that it'll fit"? In the back it's 7.5*9 ET30 (245/30) with the 5mm spacers, but there is no problem with the standard small brakes, so i want to take 8.5*18 ET25 (245/35).

      Glad to hear. If possible, get your tuner to check air's to make sure everything is still where it should be.

      The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.

      Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum.
