Hey guys. Just doing a little topic to see what ECU everybody currently has in their car, plus the turbo, boost and power output. I know this is covered in the stickies but i just wanted some fresh results

Also what does everyone think is the best street friendly/tune friendly/wallet friendly ECU on the market currently and why.

Accurate feedback would be much appreciated as i begin the hunt for my new ECU

Hi.

Each of the links below will give you more than enough threads to keep you reading for a month.

Its upto you to decide what you want from the ECU, all the features of each are detailed in the below links, or on manufacturers websites/distributors if you find they are not detailed enough.

There are plenty of fresh results across this section (and the rest of the forum), one only has to take the time to search to find them all.

Note: Some results will be duplicated as they cover a lot of "versus" threads aswell.

There are also a number of other threads such as this one searching with '+which +ECU':

Im closing this based on the sheer amount of info that can be found across the forum as displayed by the links about.

Any ECU's that ive missed will appear in results above aswell.

Cheers

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
