Yes, they will fit, depending on the size of the tyres. The rears will be fine but the fronts may be a bit of a squeeze. Ive got same sized wheels on mine and it fits, but as i said its a squeeze in front.

Probably worth around 2k+ for the wheels alone?

you are kinda correct.

You need to maintain the same rolling diameter (within a few mm). The easiest way to do that is to run the same size tyre front and rear.

He has a 32 gtr as you can't fit that size wheel under a gtst guard without a lot of work

but i heard its no good to run different size tread on the gtr because i wanted to run 245 at the front and 265 or even 275 at the rears, have you got a r32 gtr or a gtst

dont worry about that within reason...when mine was a street car I ran 275/40 rear and 245/45 front and never had a problem

I am running 235s on the front, slightly stretched, but it looks like if i go much wider than 245, i may get some scrubbing problems. Im running 265s on the back no problem.

your rear guards are rolled, aren't they?

or are you running lots of camber?

cheers

nar my rear guards arent roller or anything, i am running 255 all round now and the car is perfect but the wheels are 17s, so i bought 18s and the tyres that im gona get are 245 all around so i think that should be orite, thanks alot guys, cheers tony

I cant comment on handling as the 18x9.5 rims are only my street rims. The tyres came with the wheels when i bought 'em so im just using them until they wear out. In saying that, I have seen several other people using the same combination of tyres on circuit 32gtr's (235/40/18, 265/35/18) so they can't have that adverse an effect on handling, since they have similar rolling diameters anyway. I use 235/45/17 RE55s for the track on 17x8.5" rims.

Ronin_09, my rears aren't rolled, and no massive camber, just some slight natural camber from lowering the car. Why do you ask? Have you had some problems with 265/35/18 tyres on a similiar sized rim?

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
    • That's my life. Past-Duncan has a lot to answer for
    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
    • I had to double check the thread title r34 gtt offset advice lol. Thought maybe i posted on the wrong thread. 😂
