Hey Guys,

My 86' Celica has served me well but like all old things it is falling apart and I need something new. I have my eyes on two cars at the moment I know you'll probably think this is preety gay. But im looking at getting a 4 door, Automatic ECR34. I've got two choices, I can either move towards a 2000 model four door silver one from Power Rd Motors in Dandenong, or a 1998 Black ECR34 from SEI motors. Can anyone help me make up my mind. The stats are as following.

SEI MOTORS BLACK SKYLINE

Price: $14,900

Vehicle: 1998 NISSAN SKYLINE R34 25GT

Body: SEDAN

Colour: BLACK

Transmission: Automatic

Kilometres: 90,110

Engine: 6 cylinder Petrol Multi-point injected 2.5 (2500cc)

Reg Plate: UNREG

VIN: 6U90000ER34005814

Stock#: 005814

The steering wheel seemed a bit worn, and the black tape crap on the side was slightly peeling, and one the rear light just above the keyhole on the boat was slightly worn. Bill the guy who owned the store, told me he'd give it to me for 16,300 with all on road costs.

Price: $15,990

Vehicle: 2000 NISSAN SKYLINE ECR34

Body: SEDAN

Colour: silver Metalic

Transmission: Automatic

Kilometres: 54,000

Engine: 6 cylinder Petrol Injected 2.5 (2498cc)

Reg Plate: AS91

VIN: rb25 375449a

Stock#: AS91

Extremely tiny rusted dent in the middle of the bonet, impossible to notice. Everything seemed to be in perfect condition, the leather on the handbreak seemed slightly worn but other than that it looked great. Just don't like the front bumper reminds me of a bloody Ford BA or something.

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE GUYS

Search in the Vic Section for information about these dealers mate. Don't wanna cause any trouble, but Sei Motors don't seem all that good in my opinion. Have a search and decide for yourself about these places.

Cheers

Nothing gay about the 4dr R34 NA...a pretty good upgrade from ur celica actually....

Personally I would not pick either of the above...especially with all those faults. Keep on looking is my advice...

sorry, i was at SEI, have been into power road one to look around, real arrogant c*nt when i was there, but when four young guys rock up asking for test drives you normally get that... apparently if you go with an old bloke (call him 'dad') they'll be real friendly

Yeah, I know what you mean about the guys at power rd. I always go there to check out a few cars with my brother and they never come out to 'serve' us. We just keep looking at the cars trying to make it look like we're wanting a car and they still didn't come out. Don't understand how they sell there cars. It's mostly young guys buying imports.

It seems like the shop on power rd are better quality than the ones at sei, but I would rather buy from a private person.

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
