Hicas Problem (r33 Gts-t)

Hey all,

I have a 94' R33 GTS-t and today the yellow HICAS light came on. After this the steering felt a lot heavier and not very nice at all. In the days leading up to this, I'm pretty sure I noticed a bit of a whining noise coming from the rear cradle (this is where the HICAS pump is, yes?) this was after the car was turned off and lasted about 25 seconds.

Do the HICAS pumps contain oil? Is it possible it's just low on fluid if they do, or could it be completely rooted?

Comments appreciated, I don't know much about HICAS

i dont think the r33 ones use fluid, the r32's do though.

if you need a new hicas unit you can have mine for free (if you pay postage) it was outa my 33.

or you can disable hicas alltogether with a lock bar.
