Questions Regarding F50 Cima

I bought my cefiro 3-4 eyars ago under the 15 year rule as a private import via a broker in japan at the auctions... and whil i love this car and have done a lot of work on it, i am looking to sell in the future and look towards something a bit more grown up..

...Enter the F50 Nissan Cima...

I understand these were given compliance approval a while ago and a few came thru in the stock listed cars but have since fallen off?

what's the go?

I have many questions regarding them,

the main being,

I haven't seen any come up in MONTHS! approximately how much do they go for in AUD from the auctions?

i'm talking a ballpark figure of one in high condition low kms not really looking for too many mods

approx total of

purchase price

frieght

spotter's fee

landing

Complied.

AUD

any help would be appreciated i'm aware how busy you all are so no real hurry to get back!

Please keep in mind that the cars listed on our website are only a very small sample of what we have access to so please DO NOT just sit around waiting for a car you like to show up - you are far better off telling us what you want and getting us to search through all of our sources for suitable cars ... for example we have access to more than 100 possibly suitable Cima F50's at the moment.

If you wanted me to find some cars that you might like then please let me know what you are after including preferred variant, engine, colours, and of course the maximum budget you are playing with because these things vary heaps in price sometimes?

oh not to worry i'm not looking at buying now i'm aware you guys have access to heaps of examples trust me i'm aware of that i just haven't explored it cos as i say i'm not looking to commit to purcahse at this point...

so i don't want you guys to think i'm wasting your time, make sense?

all i know at the moment, is that i want it black or white, preferably white, V8. i think i'm looking at the XV or 450 XL? IMPUL F55??? (LOL)

i don't really know what the differences are tho! whether it's justifyable purchasing the higher models etc?

aside from that i hardly know ANYTHING about the model variants and how they differ cos there's not that much info on them?

basically i'm just looking for as much info i can learn about them so that i know what i'm looking at... what the differences in model variance are,

as for the maximum budget, at this point i HAVE no maximum budget as i have no idea how much these are worth approximately? so i don't know how much i need to budget?

also is compliance available in west australia? do you guys look after that aspect?

make sense? i dunno what to expect and i'm looking upon businesses such as yours to help me out... if you would like you can reply in PM however i think it could be good to reply in the thread incase of others looking for future referance...

I noticed two F50 Cimas when I passed by Autowholesale @ Shepperton Road. Unfortunately, I could not enter the showroom to see the cars (My dad told me not to go, as the sales people might think that we're buying when we're not.). :domokun:

One nifty feature about that car is the front blindspot camera, and both cars have them! :D

As far as I can remember, they're 2004 cars & retail around $50k+.

You can view them on their online stock here-> http://www.autowholesale.com.au/

I just checked here randomly and noticed a few replies on this post but for some reason I never recieved emails from SAU to advise that there were replies, so I appologise for not responding sooner.

To get more detailed information you would have to just search around the internet to get specifics but if you wanted basic data about then you can check out this handy Russian website which lists all of the variants although it only has up to 2002 models and hasn't been updated with anything newer for a long time ... http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/nissan/cima/

Regarding compliance there is only one workshop in the whole country with plates for this model and they are in QLD although we can arrange for cars to be complied there and then transported over to WA afterwards for around $600 give or take. It's unlikely there will be others with compliance for the Cima F50 in the near future because they are not expected to be a really popular model like some others around.

As for a budget, I was only really wanting to know how much you wanted to spend in total but not what you thought was good for a Cima. If we know what sort of budget you have in total then we can find cars that might be within budget and then you can get an idea of what's around for that sort of price.

If you only have $20,000 then there is no point me showing you examples around $40,000 even if they are amazing or wicked bargains, but if you say you have a budget of up to $100,000 then we will probably show you cars up to $60,000 because that is about as much as they can be at the top end of the scale.

hrmmm honest i'd probably be budgeting between 35-40K in total then for one off the auctions

but as i said i really have no idea what money buys what product so yeah...

it's ok i'm in no rush realistically i'm waiting for further depreciation

unless something REALLY good grabs my fancy with the right price, but the way i'm hoping to reach budget is by selling my car and taking out finance

Strange, but we've had hardly any inquiries about the F50 Cima. If there were people interested, we'd definitely get the evidence and add it to our compliance schedule.

We're doing a lot of Aristos, however, probably because their price range is lower than an F50 Cima, and people put Lexus badges on them and most people can't tell the difference.

I like the F50 Cima a lot, would buy one myself if I had the cash.

The good news is that we have more than 200 listings of F50 Cima's with no previous accident repair history that could be landed and complied for around $40,000 or less so there is plenty of choice depending on exactly what model, spec, colour, mileage, etc. that you wanted.

Here are a few examples of various spec F50's to give you an idea - please note that the estimated landed costs on the pages below are excluding SEVS compliance which is currently around $3,500 or $4,000 plus tyres. Also keep in mind that these are from used car dealers and you can expect better prices from auctions if you decided to go that way.

Hopefully you can see a little more about the cars from the photos and get an idea of reasonable prices, also look at the specs links above for some basic details of each model. There are also a couple of 4WD models (450X FOUR and 450VIP FOUR) but they are not that common so there are not many examples around, and we don't expect that they will be as popular because 4WD is really not that necessary with this sort of car normally.

first off the bat THANKS SO MUCH for these links!!!

http://www.j-specimports.com/dealernet/det...php?id=2024385#

i think i'm in love!!! ohhhhhhhhh i want it nowwwwwwwww

ok real question time

the price for THAT example is estimated to be around $27,000 landed in Australia. what FURTHER costs are on top of this?

3.5K for compliance, registration, anything else? or do you have service fee + taxes + gst etc on top of all that

this has made my dream of owning a cima VERY affordable and VERY possible

ok one quesiton regarding those russian spec sheets, they say their driveline is FR? i thought it was FF? can you please confirm this for me?

i still want one off the auctions though.. when i get home i'm signing upto the mailing list! i'm SO grateful for your help!

hey dude

after about 11 months of dealing with the stupid aus bureaucracy i finally took delivery of my 2004 Cima VIP on friday.. all i can say is it was worth the wait

just when I thought it was all over the bloody rta want me to go for the bloody identity inspection even though the car was inspected by dotars last week... anyway, i had the chance to drive it down from the workshop down to the rta and what a great ride.. I was tossing up between the Cima and the v35 skyline but after seeing the cimas in japan i couldnt resist..

in terms of costs if you want to do it on the cheap you should be able to pick up a 2001 model on the road with everything for just under 35K... you are looking at 5K for compliance the only two places in aus that can do them are shogun in brisi and mobility engineering in syd.. i think theres a guy in perth who is trying to get compliance and has a few of them already but he wants to sell his own cars so he wont do byo compliance..

the really hard bit is finding one that has what you want as they come in so many variations and options if you wanna have a chat pm me and ill run you through all the specs and options..

cheers,

k

Sweet.. did you have any particular wheels in mind? I'm still looking for the perfect set for mine.. the stock 16's are really awful..

Does anyone know who is working on the Fuga compliance.. the Cima is a great car but it's just a tad to big for me.. Fuga is a good size and similar interior space to the Cima and a few more toys too :(

For wheels on my Cima I have asked for some Tanabe wheels via Jeff at C-Red here in Perth as he is an official distributor. Jeff also has exhausts, leather trim kits and lowering springs coming into stock, he is about to fit an exhaust and a set of springs on his Cima along with his 20" Tenabe wheels.

On the Fuga it is a model on top of the list with V36 just takes time.
