Get yourself a front mount kit from just jap they seem to work fine, a good dump pipe if you dont allready have one, chuck the rubbish k&n filter in the bin keep the airbox just put in a BMC or APEXI panel filter a good boost controller preferably Electronic and closed loop (AVCR or HKS EVC) sell the interceptor and get full management of some form (cough power fc cough) the ecu is the key to so many doors, if i had my time again i would buy that first before anything else if your a newbie spend some time and research before you buy you will also learn heaps along the way.:) hope im a help of some form

thanks ,that should point me in the right direction, got a blitz dual sbc, should be ok?

You can end up spending alot more than you would buying a real GTR as something worth keeping in mind.

If you want something fairly mild then;

* Exhaust is a good place to start (turbo back).

* Aftermarket ecu, sort timing and fuel out prefferably or S-AFC.

* Clutch and Flywheel upgrade will be needed once power is up , a lightweight flywheel while your at it.

* You will need fuel pump and injectors once you step into an upgraded turbo

Lots of things you can do really but, depends on what you would like the car to be.

If you want lots of power in the long term, just save for a built RB26 it more or less drops straight in with very few bits to get. The GTS4 gearbox is the same strength wise too, it's not the poxy RB20 box out of gtst's.

For the record the K&N panel filters are fine and re-usable, sorry 13thracer I've used exactly the same panel filter on a high powered GTR (among other cars) with more power than the lowly RB20 is ever going to produce. People only have issues with them when they don't read instructions and over oil them.

Have a good read of some of the links here:

Specifically this one:

Goes over the basic items for you.

Cheers

thanks for the great info.happy about the gearbox, definate bonus.and that i didnt waste my 90 bucks on the k&n  i`m thinking the power fc seems like the way to go.exhaust is 3inch from turbo back, has hks voltage stabiliser,...ps.will the apexi pfc work with my blitz dual solinoid b/c ?

as you may or may not know the gts4 is a bit heavy..i think as heavy as a gtr but it has the power of a gtst. Therefore making it a bit lighter would help to

here is a thread about making a r32 gts4 lighter i started a while ago

R32 GTS4 Lighter

hope it helps :P

weight reduction is good :D:):D:) dont quote me but from memory the oldschool drag racers used to say loosing 400 pounds is equal to adding 100 HP and the best thing about weight reduction less impact on your driveline and most of it is free.

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
