group buy starts now and will run for appproximately 1 month (ending 10th december)

once we have sufficient numbers, i may end the group buy prematurely and place the order

supplier

partsco

www.partsco.com

the deal

if we can get at least four (4) buyers

we will be eligible for:

d12 extractors suitable for RB20DE and RB25DE AUD$205ea

gaskets AUD$10ea

international air freight (3-10 days*) AUD$70ea

international economy (10-25 days*) AUD$60ea

* business days, from the date that the supplier sends them.

** this does not include the time required to fabricate and the time required for deliveries between the necessary persons.

option of 2.25" or 2.50" outlet

awaiting confirmation of colours (at this stage only Coby orange).

no hp coating will be offered this time around due to costs.

payment

are to be deposited into my account - i will send out the PMs with the necessary details.

once everyone is in i will make the transfer to the supplier.

frieght

depending on the freight options you choose it should roughly take about 2 months from the date i send the cash over. keep in mind they are bulky items and that this is an international exchange and things do take time.

i am hoping to sneak in just AFTER the X-mas rush, and they will be sent directly from the supplier to your door in the new year.

rest assured your parts will get to you, this is the third group buy i have run with them.

any questions contact me via PM or in this thread.

sorry guys, been busy the past few days.

at this stage, no confirmation from coby about the colours - orange it will have to be.

what outlet sizes were you guys after?

i will send out PMs with my account details by Friday the latest.

hi eug i was looking on the old GB n for 4+ buyers the d12's were 180, if there r 4+ buyers would that mean we can get them for 180 or have the prices changed?

correct. i've noticed their RRP has gone up as well, the difference between old RRP-GB is similar to new RRP-GB.

the costs are originally reflected by Coby.

thanks for joining us kane.

all the PMs were sent out early this morning (with kane's being sent out just now).

i've set the end date by dec 10, this is just to lock in everyone prior to the christmas spending spree ;)

cris i know you've got a build on your hands - so if any leeway is required i'm sure we can arrange something.

as soon as everyone can confirm their orders and update their details and i'll have this underway - just to let you all know, i'm trying to get this GB timed correctly. there's no way we can sneak in before the christmas postal nightmare, but i'll want to sneak in just after it to avoid any mishaps or whatnot like we experienced in prior years.

i'll try to keep it as textbook as possible and will keep everyone in the loop.

first post updated, any errors please let me know.

cheers guys

eug

Hey Eugene, Payment made today.

any updates or changes on prices or other info....thanks

pm has been sent and first post updated beau :glare:

Do you have these to suit an R33 GTS4?

they will fit. the chassis & exhaust layout is the same. r32/r33 gts4 owners have bought them before without any dramas

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
