Ok guys I have a Just Jap (JJR) turbo back exhaust. It is a 3'" going into 3.5" canon muffler. It is starting to annoy me as it is rather loud.

Ive read that cannon mufflers are all droney, oval type mufflers are not. I want to get a hold of an oval type muffler (Xforce?) and remove my cannon muffler and fit it on to reduce the noise. Will I need to weld this thing on or will it be a straight fit?

Please help cos Im starting to hate driving my car.

Thanks!

depends on whether your current canon muffler has a flange or not that bolts it to the rest of the piping. some mufflers you can get need to be welded on others are flanged.

pretty sure the canons are so loud/droney because of the reduced baffle size. larger the baffle (area inside muffler) the quieter the exhaust will be to some degree (depends on piping size, engine etc aswell)
