Ok guys, need to find out who this person is........ :D

Been speaking with Adelaide Clutch Services about possibile SAUSA Club Sponsorship, to help pay for things and possibly give us discounts, BUT......

Apparently about 9-12 months ago so dickhead went in there claiming he was a moderator/admin on SAU, He struck up a deal with them to recieve a FREE Kevlar clutch worth over a grand, and in exchange they would recieve advertising in banner form at the top of the page. THIS NEVER HAPPEN and this tool has recieved a free clutch, and in turn might possibly have stuffed things up for us(bieng the whoooole SAU community) :bunny:

Need to know if you know anything of this person details of person below.....

Name: Tony(possibly a dud name)

Car: seems to be a Black R32, my mate did say GTR first, but once mentioning RB30, he seems to think thats the case! apparently the car has over and or near 300kw

Clutch taken was a $1k+ Kevlar clutch.

So if any of these details sound familiar to you, like you remember some dick talking about getting a kevlar clutch for his black 32 RB30det about a year ago, then contact me via PM please, Need to try and get to the bottom of this.

Thanks peoples :)

Darren

Ps yes i know it all sounds like it could be Joel..... :P But my mate said it definatly wasn't a "Joel" and Joel is such a nice guy and couldn't possibly be him!!

EDIT by Cubes: Yeah definitely not me fella's. :)

Did they end up giving it to you carl?

Kinda messed up cuz i've gone through them for my clutch on the soarer and exa, would be a shame if by association they have screwed things up for us.

That's hell dodgy mate... let's find him and rip the sau sticker off his car :)

He certainally doesn't deserve a sticker thats for sure!!

i wondered why i got a funny look when i went in to get a new slave cyl for my 32 a couple weeks back and i mentioned that i got pointed in their direction by this forum :S

Yeh if you spoke to Brad he would have just thought it was me who sent you there and prob woudn't have looked at you strange! So it must have been someone else from there!!

Thats bullshit why do people do things like this

Cos they are wankers, and don't care for anyone else but themselves!!

I have told ACS that there is/was no body that is in SA that is a Mod/Admin that goes by that name, so they are obviously aware that it was some dodgy punk! I'm a little anoyed that they didn't come to me/us about this closer back to the time it happend, I wonder if they even called the cops about it, I wonder how that would go down " yeh some guy stole a clutch from us he was from a internet forum" Yeh good luck with that one......

There is definatly gonna have to be a member card to be shown to prove you/we are responsible people, and if no card shown then no deals!!

it wouldnt have been black32 would it?

Id hope not..

Doubt it, plenty of people could vouch for him, including myself! He came to Boostworx with his hand controller to see if it would work on my car when i had issues!!

BUT if someone wants to come forward they can, It will look better for them!!

i mean, i can think of another bloke that used to have a black rb30 r32 with around 300rwkw, he sold off the RB30 recently i think, good bloke so i doubt it was him, plus i just checked his specs for the combo he was selling and he was using extreme clutches.

Yes but with PM's coming thru........ Its an amazing thing, especially when you get one person mentioned between a few people, and no body else!!

I'm sure there are a couple of people that could put a face to a name at ACS!! especailly when the dick HAD to mention his car specs to get the right clutch for his car......... There really are some stupid people out there!!

So like i said is someone wants to come forward they can......

i dont think member cards will help that much, what if someone stole 1.

yeah i cant believe they wouldnt at least grab the license details of the dude and grab the guys license plate aswell. dont take that much effort.

Cant believe ACS would just hand out a $1k clutch if someone walks in saying they are moderator of yadida forum in turn for 'free advertisement' without proof, written agreement or anything!

Yeh i don't know what happened there, But i suppose when all the details are out of the bag we might have a better understanding!!

Member cards will be fine, they should work as any card like that works, If your bank card gets stolen what do you do, Tell someone....... it might be a case of the club president informing sponsors via email about such a thing and the club member will have to change thier username and get a new card!!

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
