I've owned my skyline for about 11 months or so now and for quite a while there has been a rattle when revving around 2.5-3 grand. When i accelarate slow the sound is very faint or not noticable. Some have suggested it could be the exhaust but i'm not sure.

Now that i'm working again i feel it's time to get the poblem fixed. Has anyone experienced this or heard of anything similar?

Any help is apprecieated!

what kind of rattle ?? it could be anything?? check that there are no wires hitting the driveshaft .. that will cause a loud rattle .. so yeah check to see that there isnt' any loose wires anywhere under the car ... exhaust shouldn't rattle when u accelerate, also could be a loose panel somewhere ..

when the exhaust is cold the rattel is fairly loud (noticable over the exhaust when the windows are up) but after a bit of driving the rattel is less noticeable or not there at all.

The rattel is only there when revs are 2.5-3 grand, if it were loose pannels or wires hitting wouldn't rattel constantly??

    • Heater wasn’t working in my 32  so I decided to pull my dash out ( sounded like a great idea at the time) so initially I was sure the heater core was blocked. When I pulled it out turns out that the heater blower actuator was cable tied so it stayed shut and this prevented the heater core from doing its job as well as flowing. so currently the dash is out the heater core is out and seems to be fine but I think I’m in over my head  and need someone that knows what they are doing to take over and get it finished. I’m located in mt Annan, nsw 2567 if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know
