what happens if its not the ecu thats the problem and you fry someone elses coilpacks?

Guess I'll owe somebody a coilpack then lol.

It's gotta be the ECU. There's nothing else in the circuit. Unless it's a loom. But I've tested the coil loom and the loom between the coil loom and ecu with a multimeter and nothing is shorting anywhere.

Smart idea just sprung to mind as I wrote that. I should test the signal wire for coil #6 and see whether it's stuck on, cause I reckon thats the problem. It should be pulsing, and instead it may have become stuck on cause the transistor in the top of the coil pack to overheat and pop.

i think the coilpack will only pulse when the crank angle sensor is turning..

i have a s2 ecu you can borrow.

Not yet no. Still need some coil packs.

Im changing my computer to aftermarket one and getting split fires as well so I will let you know if that works.
