You reckon it was that good Col-GTSX ? Got a pic ?

Yeah im happy with it, i mean it provides a nice look to the car and reduces the heat very well then on the inside on has the slightest tint looking out...

So its sorta the best of both worlds, looks heavy and dark outside and nice and light on the inside...

It covers me needs and im very happy with the tint...

PS> My cameras are at work, but ill get a pic soon...

Col where did you get it done and how much did it cost you? Do you have contact info for "Tint Mart" ??

There is about a dozen tint marts round SEQ and NSW.

www.tintmart.com.au

I went to strathpine as it was closest to me.

Cost was $350, called around and none of them were willing to do it any cheaper as they are the exclusive agents in Australia for this film...

(I actually paid $330 as i had a discount voucher from the last car i had them tint for me)

Darkest legal tint is actually not as dark as you would expect. It's very easy to see through and at night its not *that* difficult to see through but it certainly makes things harder.

My skyline has what I *think* is factory darkened glass (or is it tint), under Victorian laws its ok if its factory (rear windscreen and the quarter panels (I think thats there name, the ones behind the passenger/driver side windows).

Also under Victorian law the tint is supposed to be the same % all round, I had a lot of tinter's tell me otherwise. Vicroads has this info, I assume there is an equivalent in Queensland :)

Good luck.

Im not saying its a good thing or if its a bad thing.

i have not had any issues with tint @ all.

i have 16% light tint on my skyline.... it looks shit hot @ day... at night its difficult to drive thats for sure...

I always have windows open in my car for personal preference.. i like the wind.

I personally have not been pulled over once.. possibly as my windows are always down.. and i have had insurance claims made for my car, in which the windows did not have any effect on my claim.

I can tell you, getting the 16% tint was cheaper for me than getting legal tint.

Also since my car is black, and has very black tint.. it looks shit hot ;)

    • Haha no I'll do that one tomorrow. I've been ignoring it. It's the 5.0 one I'm taking about. (There is a little X to hide the 4.7 one if you want)
    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
