Ok guys.

UPDATE:

LOCATION

NEW WAVE car wash.

Corner or Warrigal and Centre Dandenong Rds.

It's got at least EIGHT wash bays. Plenty of room.

After Thursday night meeting we will be doing a group CAR WASH/DETAIL etc. etc.

This is sorta for MAS.... but not really.... if anyone else wants to come do then we can go over everyones cars ;)

More hands the better, and more laughs no doubt too.

The plan is cruise down once the meeting is finished and then go to a car wash

Now before we get whingers.... this maybe a fair hike for some

(i'm probably the worst... over 45 mins from my house)

but i think it's more central as most are Easterners sorta so it'll be easier that way.

Is your going to come post here to let me know who i'm looking out for on thursday night.

Also if each person could bring one item (or more) to help go over each other's cars that would be really good.

If you think thats a bad idea say so.... but

I'll bring Meguires Hand Car Polish. Got a heap of it left and that's my dontation to the night :(

ok guys. Let get this going. At least this will the the most organised MAS related event :D

You're going to be washing your cars at around 10pm at night?

hmm.. anyway, well cool with me.. 10mins away :D But most people will be coming from the MAS meeting in Glen Waverley correct?

I'll be up for a cruise later on somewhere..we should cruise down to frankston or something from there - woudl be a decent trip..

10pm?

if that meeting goes for an hour and a half... dont expect me to be there at the end lol!

it starts at 8.30... so most people will have eaten by that stage.

So the meeting shouldn't go for too long.

Nah it's not that far... a short drive... wash... and then for those who want to a cruise or something i reackon will be good.

Especially considering i loose my car for the whole bloody weekend.

I'm gonna suffer major withdrawl.

If all goes well, I'll have my car at the carwash. It definately needs a wash, polish, etc but I'm not sure whether we can do a good enough job. The car was last detailed in Sept 02 and it is now covered in dirt, dust, poo and every other conceivable thing known to man.

If the wash doesn't clean it all up, I may have to get a professional detailing on Friday morning.

now we REALLY need to finalise which carwash it is going to be, ASH: please post the exact location and NAME of it if you can! unless you want ppl cruising around all night aimlessly?

[ nark its your job to cleanup  plus you get to be post whore king] j/k

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
