tek_01
just wondering what that white round thing (like a 20c peice with nipple on each side) is that is mid-way on the vacuum line to the BOV? some form of restrictor? can it be removed and replaced with a new single line?? also a totally different topic but would a dying standard rb25 turbo have symptoms of dropping off boost (0.9bar to 0.6) thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/200580-whats-this-white-thing-on-vac-hose-that-goes-to-bov/ Share on other sites
GeeTR
Hey dood, Id suggest its a boost / vacuum line filter. They're used in HKS EBC and electronic gauge setups, amongst others. I don't think a dying turbo would drop boost, if by dieing you mean failing bearings /core; the motor has well enough flow to negate any increased friction. A dodgey / dieing cat, boost gauge, bleeder, EBC could Edited January 8, 2008 by GeeTR Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/200580-whats-this-white-thing-on-vac-hose-that-goes-to-bov/#findComment-3570485 Share on other sites

It would be pretty clear; you wouldn't be able to see through it! As the gate controls pressure, i would start there. Are you running a bleeder? EBC? teng
My boost gauge on my gts25t never goes above 0.5bar since i got it. Guess i can remove the thought that the turbo is not working.
