1.And is it possible to go on a cruise wit u guys even if you dont have a skyline?

yep, SAU NSW is an enthusiast club, not an owners club. You just need like to skylines :P

While being on your P's, you can get a nice r34 GT (non turbo skyline) for that amount and have a nice cruiser.

i have to agree, ive spent all my money (i barely earn any) on my 'line since i got it lol, barely have enough for petrol to drive it lol. but i smile whenever i drive it :laughing-smiley-014:

save save save, as you wont once you get a car.

ive never been on a cruise with SAU but i dont see anyharm in coming even if you dont drive a skyline.

4. Please Dont Type With Caps. Its Quite Annoying!

Welcome to the forums!

Owning a skyline is great, everyone owns them for different reasons. Unfortunately a lot of people are only interested in the stigma of owning a skyline for the 'fast and the furious' factor. Personally, I enjoy the adrenaline from driving fast on the track, and living life one quarter mile at a time (lol)

Keep saving mate. You obviously know what you want. The harder you work to get it, the sweeter it will be when you finally get there :P

It Sounds Kool IM In The Process Of Filling Out My Membership Thing To Become A Club Member But the page isent loading...:P

Could you tell me how much it is please...

and with the cruises Got no car now..and i dont think my dad will take the aurion presara out for a cruise even though it pumps out nice amounts...

And Yer I Dont Want My Mum To Take Me Dont Want A 2007 Barina Cramping Your Style A" LoLz

im on here and i dont own a skyline!

Im on here to get heaps of info and learn how it all works and all that before i buy one. In my case, a Stagea (like a skyline, but a wagon).

Good to meet people and go on a couple of cruises and see what ppl have and see what your money can get you, so you can set urself a goal of what you want, then you can put it down on paper how much you need to put away in ur savings to get it.

thanks guys for all your inspiring words i really want one now ha ha ha, and im not one of those dik head kids who kill other people..keep it for the track why would i want to race and have the chance of braking my 6 years work of fliping burgers mowing yards and doing work..idiout guys are ruining my chances of driving a skyline with their fully sik strret racing "i hate it"

Anyways Keep Replying

I worked for 11 months, 11 hour days normally, 5 days a week, an hour away from home, doing work I absolutely hated, in an office full of people who I didn't like and knew were idiots...

So that's 65 hours (including travel time) in 5 days that it ate away... I lost most of my social life, didn't hang out with friends much, and just wanted to stay home and relax on the weekend...

It paid for the car straight up...

I'm never doing that again... But god dammit if I don't absolutely love my car... I am fairly adament it is one of the hottest looking things on this forum! (f**k off chubbs, I don't care what you think! :P)

Seriously, it has also sent me broke, but I am so in love with it... I'm going to look at photos of this car when I'm old and just remember what a hot piece of metal it was, and my kids will say, 'that old piece of shit? It could have exploded at any time with all that fuel in it!'

Then I'll hit them, cause no doubt I will be a bad father...

$60.00

If you do or dont own a skyline you can still join.

Infact - being your age, once you become a member here, you can still get your CAMS licence and do some events!!!

lol doooooooofie!!!!!11ty!!

Steve, from todays perspective, look at what people in their 30's,40's,50's are saying about their GT Falcons and GTS Monaro's!!that'll be us!

A cams license is a racing license basically...

If you want to get your car early, you can still take it to the track... I'm pretty sure the cut off is like 15 years old...

Long story short, you could drive a GTR around wakie with us if you had one :P

I think its 14 actually Steve!! 14 - 17 you can get a Jr Licence!

wish my oldies got me into it!!!! hahahahahaha

Remember though Juz, you do not need to type everyword starting in Capitals like Jon said :P lol

That's correct...

There are kids at the drags some days driving mini srag cars... It's awesome :P

You will have to either trailer it there or get someone else to drive it... And it won't be insured on the track either... so if you go off, that's bye bye skyline...

DIM 51M will cost about $210 less a year then that one

    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
    • Sounds like you've got an interesting adventure ahead here with local support if you have trouble! My guess is that, unboosted, you will be OK with a small upgrade like -9. What will happen is that once the stock ECU sees more airflow than it expects it will add a heap of fuel and pull a heap of timing to be safe because it can't understand how it could get that much air without there being an issue. You will see clouds of black smoke and it won't pull hard through the midrange and top end. So, overall it will be a bit frustrating but should be OK. If you are still nervous set the base timing back 2o through the CAS, but it will be even more sluggish everywhere. As said above through...this is not my guarantee your engine won't be blown into a million pieces, leaving you looking for very hard to find parts A better idea is get a computer with logging ASAP, wire in a wide band O2 sensor and a use remote tuner. I've done multiple cars this way and while it is not as good as a specific tune on a dyno they can get it 90% right. I'd suggest if you can afford an R33 GTR these days you can afford an ECU and tune. And if you can't afford that you sure won't be able to afford the rebuild if it goes bad in the meantime,.
    • Yeah it would be nice if someone took the time to put that sort of information together, but there are a lot of variations in looms. I think you are making this way hard for yourself if you just want to get it running....sourcing an SR20 with the right wiring will be a billion times easier than matching the RB loom to an S15 chassis. If you do end up going this way, you just need to trace every wire in the loom with a multimeter, 95% of them will go to a location you can confirm at the ECU.....and then post it up for the next person who needs it
    • Just top it up with water, and keep a general idea of how much you added. It is normal for water to be pushed into and pulled out of the reservoir through the cap, and it should not be more than half full or it will be likely to overflow when hot. Any decent mechanic can do a pressure test of the cooling system to confirm if you have a leak. Keep in mind if it is only leaking a little and when hot it may well evaporate before you see it hit the ground
