Hi all, I'm after a quick confirmation on an alternator comparison. I have an RB25DET series 1 engine in my 180SX, and it has a Mitsubishi alternator on it. I'm not sure if this is what usually is meant to come with it, or if it's meant to be a Hitachi or Bosch one instead.

My current reco'd alternator has had it so i want a new one. I rang Ashdown who is an alternator wholesaler here in Brisbane. They said they have 2 alternator types as a replacement, for the serial number i provided that was written on my current alternator. But they are listed as a replacement for the RB20DET.

This is what my tag on the alternator says;

23100 70T13

A2T37791B <--- They said this is the number to search by.

12V 80A 55091 MITSUBISHI

And this is what the guy at Ashdown faxed me as a replacement; advising the Mitsubishi style replacement is $289 and the hitachi replacement is $400

Can someone with a R33 GTS-T RB25DET post up the numbers on the tag of there alternator?

Should I go for the $400 hitachi one instead? would there be some type of plug difference between the hitachi and the mitsubishi? Thanks!
