Comments:

Purchased this manifold as i had hoped to be able to pick up a reasonably priced RB26 head which i was then going to use with an RB30 and a T04Z. Time has past and the RB20 still wont die so starting to slowly sell of the parts that i have accuulated over time for the "what if the 'ol RB20 dies" engine ... it seems it wont die :ermm: My 2008 plans include trip OS and Dutton rally, so LOL cant justify having parts laying around:)

It has mounts that will allow you to easily make a high quality and effective heat shield out of ACL dual layer shielding, think XR6 Turbo. It is also cast so will be rugged and durable on the street/track without cracking.

Some pics of the manifold...

trouble is that most guys upgrading an rb26 or doing a 30/26 are obviously after big power gains so would probably cough the extra for something like a 6BOOST tubular header

it's a bit of a paradox

good luck with the sale

Fair point. But there is nothing wrong with the performance of these manifolds with flow testing showing they are very good things. They are low mount and give the engine bay a more understated look. Thats what i was after anyway. Same reason why when my TD06 setup comes off the RB20 i am likely to go 3071 on std manifold for reliability and more std look

For those thinking this is a crappy cast manifold, look closely at the casting and you will be able to see it is essentially a 6 into 2 into 1 manifold, much like many of the aftermarket tubular manifolds. Only cast so without the welds/points of failure/cracking and also without the poor fit up and alignment that many of the manifolds using cast elbows suffer from. This manifold can be easily match ported to the head and extrude honed for those massively anal about ensuring a smooth path for exhaust gases. This was my plan, only the cost of RB26 heads vs a holiday. Well the RB26 head lost out :teehee:

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
