Hmm these look a bit different from what I know them to be.

Whats that other sticker on the spokes besides the Nismo one? And the 2 red stripes on each wheel along the lip?

And I thought the limited edition ones were matte black?

PS. what's a Works special edition?

opposite the nismo sticker it says: LMGT4 limited edition

The red sticker on the lip says: works special edition forged by rays. correction>> "The works specialty forged by Rays Engineering"

I dunno what it means but thats what it says.

wanna buy them or just testing me? ;)

what looks different. Maybe the limited edition thing makes a difference but I highly doubt it.

Was this car parked on chapel on thursday?

I'm pretty sure it was this one, and had same rims.

If so, it was damn mint man, loved the rims too.

Yup was having lunch on chapel on thursday :) thanks

Damn i'm still tempted ;) , they look so horn!!

But i have stopped all further purchases till my car is back on the road and complete.

Good luck with the sale!!

PS: you have mucked up the tyre sizes again :)

Tyres are around 70% I'd say.

No hard feelings and im not trying to bad mouth your sale but I always thought they looked like this:

Where'd the extra sticker and the red writing come from? Im just curious thats all. These wheels are my all time fav and I wish they were in GTR offsets ;)

Edited by Yawn
if only all 4 looked like the back 2 :( looks like im still goin with the drifteks :P do the front 2 sink in at all or perfectly flat??

thanks phunky! just to clarify those rims phunkey posted above are not the ones I'm selling. My ones are pictured in the first post..

And those pm'ing me asking for a better deal coz there is a sticker that says "The works specialty forged by Rays Engineering"

This doesnt mean that the rims were somehow made in affiliation with Works. Don't ask me about the wording. Ask Ray's. Price is Firm.

post 16 by lingerringsoul! take note of rim pic.

It's a shame you have to work so hard to sell such awesome rims. Wish my current situation was a little different, as i would have bought them a week ago and saved you these hassles.

hehe nah its fine, dont think you could fit your 275's on there. i just wanted to clarify for the people that attempted to tell me they were fakes. (through pm)

no rush to sell. kinda hoping they wont lol.

hey mate im a serious buyer, n i didnt say they were fake i said the bit that said WORKS dont sound too right which i see has been corrected now.

anyhow do you know what the offset for r34gtt is and how these will fit ? if they will fit fine and can handle at least 275s at the back then ill be keenish

do you know exactly how much do they weigh ? just want to compaire them to my current Works imotion rims.. thanks mate

If you want to settle any disputes all you have to do is take a photo of the Rays LMGT sticker that has all the specs like PCD and Offset on it thats located on every rim on the inside of them ..

Thats what mine had on them ..

    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
    • The fact that US/JDM plates actually fit the skyline bumpers properly is a big, big thing for me as they are the correct dimensions. Annoyingly you can't opt for a normal plate (or plate combination) in that size. You have to make up your own one, and at that point you'd still know it wasn't randomly assigned.
    • Well, really, that's any ECU, because it's not so much the ECU that the tuner connects to, but a laptop that's connected to the ECU. You have to have the tuning software installed locally. The "remote" part is essentially just remote desktop (RDP) or VNC type access. Nevertheless, if you're looking to upgrade, then you're immediately in the Haltech/Link territory, both of which can be done by any number of competent tuners here in Oz. But without a dyno, you'll definitely also need a wideband O2 sensor fitted, and you'll probably be relying on "auto" tuning a bit, where you drive it around under various loads and then apply the corrections that the ECU learns (basically applying the fuel trims that the ECU has to do to correct the mixtures). Tuning the timing is a little harder. It can be difficult to trust the old OEM knock sensors on RBs, so it is definitely best to have someone who knows what they're listening for, with knock ears (a piezo microphone connected to the engine, and and little amp and headphones so the listener can hear the angry men with hammers who live in the engine). That is more difficult to do remotely, and I suspect the only sane way is to be quite conservative on timing. But that's OK. You're probably waaaaay better off with conservative timing where you are. What is the fuel situation? 98RON available? Or low grade jungle juice?
    • I see your point, I didn't think too deep into it, was purely focused on the price. There's no bad blood between myself and GSM, they acknowledged the price was cheaper else where and at the time couldn't match it.
