Maf Sensors

hey guys,

new to forum so if my topic has been discussed i apologise...

just wondering if anyone knows of or has heard of custom MAF sensors?

i need one that is of 100mm diameter and as we all know nissan doesn't produce one of that size.

any advice or references would be awesome.

Look on ebay. There is an alloy bodied 100mm ford uppgrade MAF that is good for 850bhp (or so they say) and they are $230US new

you can modify Z32's and Q45's into larger housings quite simply, it does require a scale adjustment and depending on placement can have poor idle charateristics if done wrong.

Best solution is to fit it post cooler where it is usually 80mm anyway. Are you producing in excess of 400rwkw?

Im hoping to make 450rwkw, whats your recommendation? I was going to use the guts out of a gtr AFM and put it into the 100mm intake,and pair the outputs, but by my calcs it may well run out of scope.

i'm looking at about 300 - 320rwkw... my issue is that i'm staying low mount to give me good low end tourque and a nice meaty mid range. the turbo set up i'm looking at has a 4" mouth so obviously i want to have the induction pipe 4" from pod to turbo inlet.... any links you know of for Z32 MAF mods?

I just pulled apart a gtr AFM to see about fitting it to a larger pipe. Should be able to do the same with your stock AFM. If you fit the r33 gtst AFM into a 4in pipe, it should max the afm out at about 360rwkw(based on stock r33 afm 78mm internal bore maxing at 220rwkw)
