I'd recommend coilovers, but you want it done cheap...

You can buy smaller springs but don't go too small because the shocks won't be able to make a full stroke- resulting in a very bumpy ride.

Your current suspension has been made that size on purpose so i personally would replace with another purpose-made product.

What about second-hand coilovers?

What about a full bodykit? That will make it look lower.

hey guys i've got an R33 GTS4 and it sits high off the ground and i was looking at lowering it cheap. Does anyone have a part number or any info about lowering it? does it run same suspension as GT-R seeing its 4WD or same as GTST R33. Need info on this asap! thanks ..

I have the same car and got new suspension installed.

What you need is R32 GTR Front shocks and R33 GTST rear shocks, I got Bilestein from Sydneykid group buy, and whiteline springs. It wont be that cheap tho, all to gether they cost me $1500 something, but they are good. These shocks got three custom grooves which you can use to adjust height.

I had coilovers b4 and they were too rough on the roads.

Meantime you can try KYB shocks they are cheap and set of Kings springs.

MAKE SURE TO TELL THAT WHO EVER YOU TAKE THE CARTO THAT THIS IS GTS4 AND SHOCKS YOU NEED IS R32GTR FRON AND R33GTGS REAR AS 98% MECH DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS SINCE THIS IS A VERY RARE CAR. B4 I GOT THIS CHANGE DONE I TOOK MOST OF THESE BIG BIG FAMOUS WORKSHOPS AND NONE OF THEM KNEW THE PROPER SHOCKS FOR GTS4......ONLY SYDNEYKID KNEW ABOUT IT.

I got a r33 gts4 and looking to lower it as well. So basically if wanna lower gts4. I would need r33 gtr front shocks and r33 gtst rear shocks? or would a full set of r33 gtr coilovers bolt right up? Im seeing a few second hand full set of gtr coilovers on ebay but not sure if they'll bolt up 2 my gts4

Nope, the R33GTS4 has an eye for the lower mount of the rear shock (like an R33GST) and the R33GTR has a fork on the lower mount.

A full set of Whiteline lowered coils for an R33GTS4 at the Group Buy price is $288 plus around $10 delivery.

Cheers

hey guys i have a gts4 and i went to ozzy tires n got it lowered2.5 inch front and 3 inch back on stock shocks. the fronmt was a little bumpy tho. i have tien coilovers if you wanna buy them for 700. i took them out because i wanted to go very very low. got buddy clubs and cant go wrong. 7 inches of adjustment in the back :/

I only want to lower my car a small amount, I'm talking about, lowering it 2cm? lol, the stock height looks a bit high to me but I don't want to go LOW where I gotta drive at an angle over every speed bump.

I read that if you lower your car JUST replacing the springs it could cause some long term damage to your suspension system.

Since I only want it lowered a couple CMs would it be a suitable to keep the stock shocks?

No. The standard shocks are only just OK for the standard spring rates when they are new . Lowered springs have to have higher spring rates to soak up the impacts in the shorter distance, plus your shocks aren't new.

Have a read of thsi thread, it covers what you are looking at;

    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
    • I use FCC car launcher. It has an option for different backgrounds, so instead of turning the screen off you can swipe 'up' to a black screen with no background/icons. (mine has the time on it only). It's kinda nice. Also lets you use gestures to say swipe to go to next song, etc.
