Bov Question

hey all probbaly a stupid question but i was just wondering about gettin an aftermarket BOV, my rb25det still hase the stock one but i want a bit of a chage instead of the stock, i know the stock does the job but just wondering if u can lose power by changing BOV, i know that full atmo bovs are not allowed, with an atmo bov does the engine have more turbo lag rather than plumbed back in?

It depends on the bov u get.

Some, even when done up the whole way will let out pressure during just cruising revs which can confuse the ecu as to how much fuel to put in in comparison to the air. (As the airflow meter will be reading a different amount of air going into the airfilter as what is going into the actual engine.)
