Hey guys, i really want to buy these tyres as i know theyre really good, just wondering if a 9.5" te37 +12 offset rim would fill out the tyres good?

Ive been told 265 on some tyres look thinner compared a 265 tyre of a different brand which would look more wide, fat and agressive (even though they are still 265's), What would the falkens be wide or thin?

My other option is the toyo t1r's

iv tried these tyers they were "cheapish" but not too bad, looks FAT ASS from the back on my works rims n had ok grip except the fact that i was runing 18s made it very crap to take off and at the qmiles was spining way too much on 1st and 2nd too...

IMHO put it on ur rims n put it on the car then see if u wana keep it or tell them u dont like it..

crisis situation, should i go s03's, or f452's, or re55's in really good condition for less than $600 for all four).....application is street use

s03s are 285's

f452's are 265's

and re55's are 265;s

will the re55's look like a wider tyre cause they are semi slicks?

OK lets be practical this is what i do for my GTR. i buy nasty nankangs because.

1. the price is cheaper when you add tyre+balance+wheel alignment = cheaper than the rest.

2. I have not fixed my negative chamber and all GTRs will have this unless you spent $$$ correcting it. This means 30K or 1yr driving is all your going to see before your tyres are unroadworthy.

3. I have a grid dancer installed in my car its a electronic device about $250-300 I highly recommend this upgrade because of the shit tyres i use the grid dancer shifts the torque to the front wheels between 20-50% and man driving in the rain is no problem the crap nankangs perform like Yokohama Advans in the dry :-)

4. therefore the money i save from buying expensive one pair for the year i can buy 2 pairs of crappy tyres for 2years.

tip hard compound tyres will last longer but shit in rain and when cornering hard.

This is what i find that works for me, maybe not for you.

As i said 265 will definitely fill the rim - I actually want 245 on mine cause I have a R32gtr and fitting the damn things without scrubbing under the guards is a pain the rims are actually under the guards but tyre is wider.

offset has nothing to do with what the size of tyre goes on a rim. its the rim width that restricts you. offset is to work out if its going to touch the brake caliper and how much its going to poke out from the guards or how much dish you are going to get. correct me if im wrong.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
