Hey guys I am in need for some more power but before I go ahead with the process I would like some feedback of what you guys think about my intended goal and how I aim to get there.

I have an 1994 R33 Gts25t. The only modification on it is a HKS Pod Filter and GReddy Type-RS B.O.V.

My Goal is to rise power @ the wheels to around 220-250kw. With a min budget of between 10 to 15 thousand (including labour) I would like to know what would be the best way to get there without trial and errors.

- Brands are not so much important but reliability is a must.

- Bolt-ons would be great without any mods to any parts in the actual engine bay.

- Response is my main agenda rather than power.

- MOST IMPORTANTLY...would like to keep my car legal and "SLEEPERISH"

So far I have come up with this list after searching endlessly...

* X-Force "Varex" Turbo-Back exhaust w/ split dump pipe

* KKR-430 Turbo

* GReddy Profec-B Spec II Boost Controller

* GReddy FMIC "Bar & Plate"

* GReddy Ultimate ECU

* 550cc Injectors

* Bosch 040 In Tank Fuel Pump

Questions I'd like answered are...

- Is the turbo suitable for the power wanted, and also responsive enough?

- Is the Boost controller reliable enough?

- Is my choice of ECU compatible and most of all reliable?

- What other mods would I need?

If you could help it would be much appreciated, and would most likely be beneficial for others.

Cheers. :)

for the turbo if you want responsiveness why not go a HKS 2535, GT-RS, 2835..... and if you could get a Power FC and yes the Greddy boost controller is good :) have you also got a clutch? e.g heavy duty? if not you should consider one

Cheers

for under 10k youd have an awesome setup. if you want to retain a stock look and go for your desired power goal go for a gcg hiflow, pfc, injectors, fuel pump,fmic, turbo back exhaust,hd clutch. should get full boost by 3k. its been covered many times before.

good luck with it all

Sell your car, put the car money and cash towards a GTR, remove the body kit, front badge, replace boot lid with a GTS25t, or GTS and get rims that hide the studs.

Just an idea.

For $15K you can have more than 250kw. I reckon only spend what you need to get 250kw (that's plenty for the street) and spend the rest getting the power to the road.

HKS GT-RS (or another pick, btw highflow will be lucky to get to 250kw)

Injectors

Fuel Pump (Nismo/Walbro/Bosch etc)

Front Mount

Turbo Back exhaust

Apexi intake

Power FC + Boost controller

Oil Cooler

Z32 AFM

Regapped spark plugs (0.8mm)

Good, you already got the clutch.

Other mods i'd STRONGLY recommend are:

Coilovers

9-10 inch wide rims (on the rear, smaller up front)

Uprated brake pads and brake fluid (brake lines too if you can afford)

Boost and Oil Temp gauges

hks 25/30?

HKS 25/30....do you know much about them?

WHats the response like....also what psi would I need to run it to squeeze out my targeted power figure!

I've noticed people mentioning a lot of HKS turbos but what about the GReddy TD06/25G...is it not as good..i've read a lot of articles and power figures with the response it gives is substantial....but not to familiar with the price though!

Thanks for that...

I'll give it a look up!

He said he wanted a sleeper, and hot damn what a sleeper it would be. Just imagine the look on people's faces.

Exactly mate...

I had a Honda Civic with a 2.0 V-tec banger in between the front struts...

And boy oh boy did I love racing forced inducted cars...

when the V-tec kicked in it screamed so hard you couldn't even hear the exhaust note from the other car...

From peoples replies I believe 250rwkw would be perfect for the street!

I'll keep you updated on how things go in the next month or two!

Any thoughts...

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
