Hi people,

been awhile since I was on here, but just thought I'd share with you my excitement at the moment. Some of you may have seen the 260RS Stagea SII for sale at Sinergy lately. I ummed and ahhed for a week over it, originally wanting an R34 GTR but considering my work I decided with the 260RS. Test drove it early this week and what can I say but unbelievable!

So hopefully I can catch up with you all again sometime and join in on a cruise somewhere! Now..... what to do with the 32 GTR???

Regards,

Craig.

series 2 (mid-1998 onwards) Autech.

rare

nice

hope you didnt pay the asking price tho, series 1's (96-98 Rb26dett) can be had for under 25k these days

damn manual tho, barely fit in my lowly Dayz with extended drivers seat rail as-is!!!

I.

Hate.

You.

That is all.

(Waaahh what will I do with the 32 GTR now I have the 260 RS waaaah :spam::banana::banana: )

Only stirring. Very nice purchase. Ive got the missus nagging me to get a somewhat Bigger/newer car to have for us (Whats wrong with the KE70 I ask!), and a stagea was on the list, but unfortunatley, not a fan of 4WD....

i know

keep the 32 for track thrashing on our soon to come motor sport complex

lol, but in 15yrs time, when the complex gets approved, R34 GTR's will be cheap

oi Drift Pig - gotta say, once you go Black (in this case AWD) you never go back. if one day the awd car would be the family car, to carry the million$$$ babies, then YES awd is well worth it. I lurve the stagea awd system.

that is all. yet another stag plug from he-who-has-been-converted

Please please put an R34 GT-R front on it they look pimp!... that way you get the GT-R look aswell as power

and R31 Drift Pig / Ben... I think you can get a 'poverty pack' RWD model of the normal stagea's... though I could be wrong

That's definately on the agenda! But just not sure how much an R34 GTR front end minus engine would be worth..... but yeah, as per below - tough as! :D

Picking it up tomorrow morning probably, only problem is (well not really a problem) I've got a coporate ticket to the 500.... so won't be able to drive it until later tomorrow night!! Damn it, why do all good (and bad) things come at once!

    • I also used Knox driveshafts when I the slip yoke T56 to the 3bolted TR6060 type. I believe I was one of his first jobs as it literally changed hands when I was there, started by the old owner and finished by the new. Everyone seemed pretty great about it. So wasn't shy/seemed pretty knowledgeable when dealing with weird custom people like me.
    • Just a reminder orange park was cool back in the day   and drifting the main circuit was even cooler   f**k I miss that car
    • We used Knox Drive shafts years ago when we were doing gravel rally, good guy but I heard it had changed hands? He's got a lot of stuff and is miles cheaper than GJ and so on. He used to have a lathe setup with a MIG torch on the tool holder so he could get the uni welds just right, quite a clever guy. I just got a driveshaft done for my sequential installation and that was through Balancing Services Australia in Preston, they did the Gibson cars in the old days. New genuine CV's, billet yoke, new centre bearing and chome moly shaft was $2k.
    • Thanks for sharing that mate, I've got a couple of spares on the shelf but all the unis are tight....will give old mate a shout. BTW are you sure it wasn't just a $400 paint job? Any detail of what they replaced (cut/reweld?)
    • Yeah I saw that about the US Q50 recently, apparently it was shown to Inifiniti dealers (probably to help with their depression about the cars they can sell). Seemed like a really obvious step to me, the platforms are very similar in many ways. Even if there aren't many people who actually put the money up it should really help with image/reputation. What hasn't been clear anywhere if that is a V38 model of if they are just going to add the trans as an option in a new model year. What they did with the Z from 370z to "Z" is just weird so I'd be surprised if they released this as a V38. Great news for me to have an option; it is far from confirmed that I can get any decent track sessions through the auto so having a manual I can swap to is great.
