well got my new exedy single plate heavy duty fitted by ice performance today and WOW is all i can say, its soft, but nice and touchy, perfect for quick launches, doesnt ride too easy which is good, will stop me ****ing it up :( and wasn't too bad during peak hour traffic on the way home, would recommend it to anyone who isnt going too far with power like me but needs something more than the stocker... btw my stocker was nice nj burned when i looked at it today hehehe but yer im really happy with it, next stop, powerfc and electronic boost which will be fitted and tuned tomorrow so will post my dyno results, then next week ill get tmy c's short shifter which i just ordered so now hopefully i can break some 13s at calder :P:D:D but we'll see...

yeh i got mine done @ C&D Motorworks in Sunshine. They're a performance place also. Lots modified Rex's & imports in there all the time. I also got a quote for $650 for my timing belt from Ice but got it done @ C&D for $280 (genuine Nissan belt)

Mind u Leewah from Ice has always been very helpful and informative whenever I've ever asked for something. I know my car is going to go down to Ice when I need to get some internal mods done in about 11months time ;)

$650 ? maybe that was a special type of belt ?... oh well im planning on doing all those maintenance things myself anyways... i might get some of ice's cam gears coz they are very nice and also well priced, see how they go, might help to get my over 200rwkw with stock turbz ;)

nope just the Nissan belt. They said it cost so much cause they have to take the radiator and all the belts off as well to get to the timing belt. ah well.

btw What as your car running rwkw wise when we went on the cruise down to Great Ocean Road?

Unfortunately its pretty similar to the Daikan Exedy. Exedy kit is about $420 and stock is about $350?

The exedy is very daily drive able (hell I drive from Sunbury>City almost every day)

umm at the gor it was stock LOL so about 130rwkw or whatever it is, with pod, zorst, safc & 10psi, front mount i managed to pull 182rwkw, now i have the powerfc and electronic boost so will be interesting to see what it pulls

timmyg, the exedy clutch i just got feels softer than my stocker did, its just a lot more touvhy and 'shorter' contact space if u get what i mean, it thros the power to thew road much better than the stock and doesnt huirt your left legf after long drives, i drove to ice and back and i live the opposite side of town and my legs were fine

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
