wow... what a machine. I thought it should be under 10s car

10.8 in street trim is pretty fkn fast........ you take out the rear seats, air con, etc. and put a set of big slicks on it, your looking at breaking 10 seconds imo.

The car is fast but there is still more in it. Set it up for drags and the numbers will drop abit.

I have seen this car and it sounds and looks amazing.. The plates say it all. Nothing would come close to beating it on the streets up here.

Good luck with the sale mate. I only wish i had the money lol..

Is the trust gear box straight cut or helical? When was it put into the car? Did you buy it new or used?

Who built the car?

The gearbox has straight cut gears and was fitted in Japan. I was told by the supplier that it had done 1000kms when i purchased the car.

Racepace Motorsport in Melbourne and X-Treme Motorsport in Townsville are the 2 workshops that have helped me build my car. Racepace built the new motor but was installed and tuned by X-Treme.

Hope that helps, any more questions just ask.

Cheers

I'm with FONEY on this one, have seen this car in action with the old engine set up and it was mighty impressive then. Its an absolute weapon, highly recommend this car

Saw this car out on a local cruise a few days ago, very clean and serious street car. Mature driver too.... hehe, was infront of him (grey 32 gtr parked next to you at bp) on a nice straight road subtly trying to coax him to hit it in order to make my decision of going single or twin, besides the point. He didn't want to play ball ..

Good luck with the sale.

Hi Mate

what gear was the car dyno"d in ?

Thanx

It is normally dyno'd in 5th gear, but the other night it was done in 4th (still made 480rwkw on 20-21psi).

25k

+ your car?

Quick update: Just got 4 brand new tyres 255/40R17 (not yet fitted) and some new SARD 1000cc injectors. Injectors have been installed and the fuel maps were adjusted on the dyno. Since the injectors are no longer maxing out, i will increase the boost and get a full tune in the next week or so. Will post new dyno sheets when i get them.

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
