Hey all,

I'm looking for a clean R34 25GT Manual Coupe in Vic. I'm keeping an eye on carsales, trading post, etc and have had a look in the For Sale section. Must be non turbo due to P-Plate restrictions.

PM me if you/you know someone selling one and hasnt been listed online yet.

Cheers,

Pete

seriously, ur better off buying a 4banger, so u can do thousands of kms an not worry bout fuel, an get something for the side, weekends, club cruise's..

if u cruise nicely in a club/group u wont get pulled over.

act like a dickhead an u will draw unwanted attension to urself an ur car..

i think its not worth buyin a non turbo 34 just to say u have a "r34".. dont want to stirr up shit but personal opinion..

i'm not gettin an r34 simply for the namesake. :nyaanyaa:

neither do i intend to drive like a dickhead, much to your pre-conceived perception of p-platers.

also, i'd rather not got a measly 4 banger shitbox to save a few bucks on fuel ffs...

wouldn't the costs of running two cars outweigh the fuel savings anyway? :D

moron

LOL, a non turbo would suit a crybaby like you...

Keep an eye out on power road car sales, kamikaze, SSV, carizma just to name a few car yards. Also, have you considered importing one ?

I wasn't quite sure what I was after (originally wanted a 180sx) but after sitting in an R34 then eventually test driving a few I couldn't resist buying one. If you are certain this is the car for you then take a look at importing through an agent e.g. Iron Chef or J-Spec etc.

If you're simply keen on inspecting your 'vehicle to be' in the flesh that's OK too, good luck.

i got an r34 25gt because i love the look of them and when i took one for a test drive it made me love them more. they are good on fuel also and i dont understand the hostilities towards N/A's. mines not turbo because i knew at the moment i couldnt afford the whole insurance plus the other extras and i didn't trust myself driving from a subaru rx straight into a turbo car, would have been silly. they are a great car and fun to drive and look great, you should take a look at power road carsales thats where i got mine for a great price.

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
