1. Panel filter. If you use a pod will need a cold air partition not worth the expense

2. R33 or R34 FMIC will fit

3. Yes

4. Can get a couple of new cat back for stag in OZ approx $900. Some r33 dumps fit, but not all brands

5. They are slow if stock.

6. Power fc will plug and play in a series 2 manual. Series 1 manual will need some rewire. Do not use in a auto stagea.

7. Try searching, all has been covered plenty of times

8. Welcome to the stagea section.

1. Choose your sound preference... I prefer exhaust growl to pod sucking sound! Pod would need to be encolsed to be legal and provide extra power.

2. There are kits for RB 25DET around. Most likely yes! S1 and S2 may differ.

3. Don't know. Would like to know!

4. Don't know. Think R33/34 exhausts would bolt up though???

5. Pretty sure you'll get a different answer from almost everyone. Unfortunately although there are many threads on this, nobody has ever been to the track with a GTech Pro or similar, a stock S1 RS4, a stock S2 RS4, a stock S2 RS4S (manual), a stock S2 RSV (rwd - 110kg lighter) and a stock (!) 260RS. Now that would be interesting!

For what it's worth these are my 0-100 estimates, having been in a few...

S1 RS4 - 8.2 secs

S2 RS4 - 7.6 secs

S2 RS4S - 7.5 secs

S2 RSV - 7.3 secs

260RS - 5.9 secs

Add an exhaust, some boost and a front-mount and you'll drop a half a second to a second...

People say that these cars are heavy, but my RSV is 1540kg which is 100kg more than a Ford Focus!

Are you looking to buy or just wondering?

OMG I LIKE CAPS!!

I LIKE TO PUT EVERYTHING IN CAPS SO PEOPLE CAN HEAR ME!!!!

I LIKE TO HAVE STUFF IN CAPS CAUSE IT MEANS I WILL GET ANSWERS FASTER CAUSE CAPS MEANS ITS LIKE IMPORTANT.

WHEN I WAS A KID I ATE PAINT CHIPS.

CAP FURY.

and yeah..the above is true.. r34 parts fit on the S2.

and you can make a C.A.I for like 20 bucks and some elbow grease.

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
