point taken cam gears useless for this setup. mate just got back to me has a na supra got cam gears put on and mechanic told him made no difference in power.

Changing the cam overlap ALWAYS make a difference, on every engine I have tuned anyway. You can make;

1. A higher maximum power at the same rpm

2. A lower maximum power at the same rpm

3. The same maximum power at higher rpm

4. The same maximum power at lower rpm

5. A higher maximum power at higher rpm

6. A lower maximum power at higher rpm

7. A higgher average power in the rpm range you use

8. A combination of the above

What I use an adjustable exhaust camshaft pulley on an RB25DET for is #7. It brings on more boost earlier and facilitates more ignition advance, which also helps.
