This is an awesome event and I hope that you guys will spread the word on how much fun it was last time..

I think there will be a fair few NSW peeps invading ACT saturday night :(

Cant wait!!!

Jess :D

Damn it, gonna have to wait till the next one, cant get datto done till tax time.

Bugger, I would really like some good ACT based competition out there this year... Everyone knows that I was 2.5 seconds quicker than Michele and 4 seconds quicker than Reece last year ;)

So what licence do i need and how do it get it???

Is my cams s2 fine?

I am pretty sure that is the L2S licence ;)

Did you pay $82 for the year get a passport book type thing...

You can either purchase a Cams L2S licence but you need to be a member of a club

Or

Purchase a AASA licenc-e on- the day and it last you all year

I too would like to see this!!

ACT vs NSW ;)

its just the speed one so from what your saying its fine. :(

Yes, your L2S is fine.

Because SAU is CAMS affiliated, I think you will find they can issue licences on the day for those who don't have licences yet. L2S is the best value licence if you want to do other events, but if you're not doing anything else, you might need to discuss a cheaper option with SAU like L2 or AASA.

(I'm basing this on what we can do at SDMA and haven't confirmed with SAU).

I too would like to see this!!

ACT vs NSW :P

last year there were only 5 or 6 ACT members and about 35 NSW... How would it work if its the same this year?

Im going for the "Fastest R32 Gtst" title again this year... But I think that Reece will be in his R32 this time and not the Starlet so there could be some stiff competition. :D

got another question, since a racing licence is required as well as a helmet, does that mean a fire extinguisher is needed as well?

Last year there wasnt a fire extinguisher required, I cant see it being any different this year... But they're a good thing to have so it cant hurt.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
