SOLD

Item: Apexi Power FC Boost control kit

Age: Unknown

Condition: Out of box but never used. Sold to me by my mechanic (Trojan Motorsport). All parts included to hook it up to your PFC. It is the THREE pin version. If your PFC has three pins, it WILL work. There is no logic inside this unit, just wires. The software is all in your PFC.

Price: $300 Shipped. These are $372 brand new on Nengun and apparently there is a ~2 month wait from Apexi in stocking them. I actually paid a fair bit more than that, now I think about it :(

To Fit (What car): RB25DET which is fitted with an Apexi Power FC. It has the 3 pin input.

Location: ACT, shipping included.

Contact: Call Ben on 0404 896 713 or PM me.

Comments: Selling because I've decided to use a dual boost control system.

Check my trader feedback on here.

See my 100% positive eBay feedback :D

Happy to accept direct deposit (preferred) or Paypal (add $10 bucks). If you're local to ACT, cash will also suffice

Photos added. Thanks.

it will suit any PFC that has the 3 pin kit socket on the side of the PFC

those PFC"s with the 5 pin socket wont suit (ie: WRX is 5 pin).

also to note new orders from apexi for the boost kit take at least 2 months - ie: from nengun/greenline etc

apexi are very very slow on any map sensor / boost kit type work

Thanks for the useful info for the punters Paul :D

sOkiasu, it would work with your PFC.

He means 'slow' as in they are rare as in hard to get hold of. I got this one from my mechanic because his project car has been on the backburner too long, but then he bought a new GTR anyway so didn't need it hehee. if someone's interested gimma a PM/buzz, it's just gonna help me pay off the mods currently being done on my car :D

Can you let me know the model no of the unit?

Apparently the one for R33 GTST's should suit the following vehicles:

415-A001: Nissan: All Skyline GTR’s, Skyline R33 GTST, 200SX / Silvia S14.

Subaru: Impreza GC8/GF8 Ver. 1-2.

Not sure on what advantages this has over an AVC-R or vice versa? I guess direct control from the FC controller and less bling in the interior (could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it)

Yeah - integration with a PFC is the primary benefit. I'll ring my mechanic and post the model number here (and also PM it to you) on Monday.

Cheers.

rysith, just spoke to the mechanic. I'm sorry, but there are no model numbers printed on the side. Mechanic says the unit has never been used, it's just out of the box (I've got all the parts contained in a bubblewrap lined paper bag). It was originally purchased with the intent of using it on his R32 GTR, then it was going to be used on his R33 GTST. He's a busy boy so I'm not surprised it kept getting put on the backburner. He spoke to the Apexi distro for me, and they said as far as the PFC boost control kit is concerned, if it physically fits (there are 3 pin and 5 pin versions), then it WILL work. This thing just has wires and stuff. The actual logic, software and control parts are in the PFC itself. So if it has the right number of pins for your PFC, it'll work.

eddieeeee-ro, I don't have a picture of it. It's sitting at my mechanics in my boot. I'm pretty busy with work and have no wheels, so doubt I'll be able to get out there this week. You can see my feedback on here and eBay, I'm not here to stuff ppl about.

If someone's properly interested, then PM me like the smart people are! I may miss messages on this thread!

PS no low-ballers please, sensible offers only. These are hard to get hold of, this unit is as yet unused AND I'm including shipping. Thanks.

So when someone wants to buy it, we have to wait a week or two because you cant get to it.

How do you expect to sell it?

Also all this talk of you being legit is worrying.

I also would like to see a picture of what you are selling as i am interested in purchasing.

 ... I'm still at work atm :D Proof enough for u that I'm busy?

Fair enough @ legit comments. Just wondered why ppl are so worried about what the thing looks like when you can easily see my posting history here and tell I'm a real person et etc. Anyway, I'll get my brother to give me a lift there either tomorrow or next day (work project is under pressure) and I'll take a few pics and upload. Just pls don't offer me $200 like one joker did

Cheers.

Yeah nah fair enough. Its just that most people would prefer to see what they are buying rather than relying on past references etc.

Just one of those things. Will check back tomorrow.

Thanks.

As per requests, here are photos.

Pictures are of my Apexi Power FC boost control kit I'm selling, and an Xtreme light flywheel (used for only a few hundred kms).

Cheers.

    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
