Did a fair bit of searching on this when I bought my springs and it definitely is a very small drop. can't remember about the ride quality, but 100% sure it is a drop. I would imagine it's a bit firmer. check G35Driver.com, its been done many times.

keen to know this also

from what i have read on g35driver.com this should lower the front approx 1" and the rear about .25"

Thanks waz, like you i here its 1'' then some one says its .5'' there doesnt seem to be a def/answer, even in the g35driver forums they get of the track, and start talking about coilovers, teins springs, etc, anyway i welcome your comment and help. Thanks mate. G.T. :)
I've got my 2003 Z33 springs sitting in the garage.

If someone wants to borrow them to fit, measure up the ride height, and do a lap around the block then I don't mind loaning them temporarily.

Thanks mate, some def/answers to this would be great, ill just keep pluging on. Regards G.T.

Thanks nismo, like i mentioned to Waz, have checked g35driver forum for this answer a few times but so far no luck, maybe someone out there has the answer, once again thanks so much for your comment. Regards G.T.

Here you go. 350z springs will lower a coupe around 1/2 inch.

Later model coupes which came with 19's standard had harder springs so may not see as much as a difference.

The above will give you all you need to know about V35 spring rates and height.

Simply do a search on 350z-tech.com or my350z.com and get the standard 350z spring rates for the gives years and you'll have your answer. If you want to be 100% sure.

Otherwise, as a few have said, 350Z is lower and i believe more stiffer.

Hoo-ray, thanks nismo maybe getting somewhere now, so i take it a 2003 coupe should get the right results, that is 1/2 inch all round. Many thanks G.T.

Here's some more good confirmation to set your mind at ease.

Tells you how to identify the type of z springs you have too. I will going down the Z spring path as well shortly for my sedan.

No probs.

If you ask me, i think stock 350z springs will give you little difference and may not be worth it.

On my last V35 I used Tein 350Z H-techs. The drop was quite small and the ride was still very very comfy. You can even use G35 H-techs.

Tein designed these for a little drop, a lot of comfort, and i believe they were a progressive rated spring which gives you that added stability in hard cornering.

the problem is that suspension is a very personal choice and it totally subjective

what one person calls a "small drop" and "comfy", the next person calls a big drop and too hard

geoff, if you go down the standard 350z spring route, please let me know and provide some before and after pics for us if you can

i would be keen to do this also at some stage, but i would want to see how it looks first :)

nice! where did you get them from? i rang a few wreckers but no dice..

Got it from GT autosound at Newmarket...they advertised in the for sale section about 2 mths ago but their ad was locked coz they weren't a paid trader..I recalled them selling a set for $150...went and picked it up for $125 :nyaanyaa:

I suggest putting a WTB ad in the 350z-tech forum under the aussie classifieds..I dare say there would be more than a few Z owners that have their stock suspension sitting in their garages gathering dust.

I will post pics of mine after its installed...picked up a full set of Z suspension (shocks and springs) out of an 05 model with 10,000kms last week. :P

Cool I'd love to see it & hear your opinion on what the ride is like :( I may go down the same track....

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
