In the interlude of the 24-Stunden-Rennens (SA., starting from 14.30 o'clock live in the DSF) it came on the legendary north loop to the bad misfortune. With the Rundstrecken Challenge so called hit hone since pilot Thomas's autumn (Großbettlingen) in the distance section " Bergwerk" with full force on the vehicle of its competitor of olive Noss. While autumn, which was only easily injured with the Crash, was brought to the medical investigation in the hospital Adenau, Noss with the Rettungshubschrauber had to be flown to the protestant pin hospital to Koblenz. There the 34-Jährige lies according to statements of the treating physicians with heaviest head injuries on the intensive care unit. Its condition should be however stable.

already a serious injury (sorry it has been translated from german)

a civic and cleo involved in this accident

On Thursday nights at 8:30pm on channel TVS (free to air, just scan for it) they have a 30min show that follows an aussie team at the 'Ring involving 3 cars (2 mirages and an ex v8sc).

Despite the low budget production (c'mon its a western sydney station) it's actually quite fun to watch.

Warren Luff has qualified 19th.

Read his email to me below.

Hi All,

Well its midnight friday night here and we have just finished night qualifying which went from 7.30pm till 11.00pm, we also had a 90 session his morning. We ended up p19 out of 220 starters which also means we get to run a blue strobe light on the roof of our car, only the top 20 cars get this and its basically a signal to the rest of the field that a fast car is coming and they must get out of your way. Also on pit stops you get priority in pit lane, in our garage we have 6 teams based in there so it gets rather busy. But on a pit stop if we come in and they are in doing there stop our guys can basically push their car forward to make room for ours and take the refuelling hose out of their car. Dont think we are going to make too many friends in our garage!!!!!!!!!!!

Practice and qualifying today was very busy out on track, trying to get a clear lap is virtually impossible. So you are just trying to get the clearest lap you can, but some of the driving standards leave a lot to be desired. The Porsche that is on pole position from Manthey racing ended up having a big shunt with a slower car and ripped all the front bar and radiators out of the thing, also their number 2 car had a oil line come loose and the thing nearly burnt to the ground. So you dont have to look far to find chaos out there.

The night session was good fun, i only did 1 lap right towards the end but it gives you a taste of what is to come tomorrow night. Lets just say it will be busy out there!!!!!!

Any way race start tom is 3pm local time here which is 11pm Aus, so keep your fingers crossed for us and hopefully I will have a good report for you all after the race.

Enjoy a relaxing weekend, mine will be a little busier than normal.

I found a few links for streaming with english, but they don't seem to be talking about the N24 more like Indy or the american lemans series???

try them anyway

also looks like the 2nd VIP petfoods Porsche was involved in an incident with an M3, haven't seen them rejoin the results yet.

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
