So after recently moving and going from one lot of spares to two lots, we have no room and need to get rid of some stuff!!!

Tyres

No longer needed as I sold my 17" rims - we now only have 18" rims on our cars so they are pretty useless!

One set of four semi slicks - Yokohama Advan A048's - 235/40/17. 80% or more tread left - medium/hard compound. (photos further down in thread)

$385.00

One set of Porsche Cup slicks - 24-64-18.

aka 240-40-18. These are almost completly new. Again used for only one practice session. new tread depth is 3.1mm the LOWEST on these is 2.4mm.

so around 15% worn on average. (photos further down in thread)

$600 a set.(4) ($550 each new)

R33 Stuff

Cusco 6 point Safety 21 roll cage for a R33 Gtst - Steel one, bolt in not weld - decided I can't be bothered and it was a bit of a impulse buy. Bought it off another forum user... its used, ummmm might be missing a couple of bolts from memory but Il replace them before pick up.

$500 ono

Walbro 255L Fuel Pump (GS-342???) ready to bolt into a 33 Gtst.. comes on the std bracket.. ran out of power for my car, prolly did around 4,000 kms over 12 mths..! Was ok at 300+ rwkw but only with the gain turned down on the boost controller

$100 firm

Exedy 5 puk clutch - used for about 3000 kms... hardly worn, couldn't hold the 300rwkw... was fine at 270rwkw though! (photos further down in thread)

$300 ono

Std Flywheel - Just removed from car - twin plate setup reason for removal.

$100 ono

32 GTR SHTUFF

NPC rebuilt OS Giken TS2 twin plate clutch - Basically brand new except the splines are damaged on the friciton plate (riveted hub needs replacing on one of the plates) - push type $500 firm (photos further down in thread)

Gearboxes -

R32Gtr push type - partly disassembled, suits rebuild or anyone chasing a bell housing, input shaft is smashed - although you get all the smashed bits with it  - $250 (photos further down in thread)

R33 Gts-4 push type - 3rd gear is blown, (higher strength, extra ribbed bell housing) doesn't include transfer case - $350 (photos further down in thread)

R32 GTR Bonnet - couple of minor superficial dents/marks... 500 ono - photos next week as the bonnet is stored elsewhere and I need to get there on Monday after Texicana

RB26 Long motor - this will be rebuilt with forged internals, looking at expressions of interest before starting, buyer to have input on internals etc which will vary cost. Please PM your enquiries to Dave aka T04GTR and post in this thread so I can tell him to log on and check it out!!

Random - DR30 Coupe complete doors minus the mirrors, manual wind up windows, red & black trim, red and silver two tone duco - from a RS model. $500 for the pair.

Please PM or post here if interested. Willing to post smaller items, roll cage and tyres etc pickup only unless you can organise your own carrier.

    • Hang on. Let me get this straight. The desire is to have coilovers, BC in particular, to be MORE comfortable on Sydney roads than stock suspension? Well, that's obviously not right. BCs have crude damping design at the very best, and typically hard spring rates. BC stands for Billy Cart. And then, the desire is to put in some shitty old worn out stockers, to get it blue slipped and then put the BCs back in? And then.....what? Not worry about getting pulled up by the Plod? Because you seem to have raised a worry about paying for engineering (which actually does solve all your legality problems) and still getting pulled up.... but the only problem there is that if/when that happens you have to show your paperwork at the inspection station. Whereas, if you just swap in borrowed shitty old stockers to get it slipped now, and then you get defected in the future, you have to go find more shitty old stockers then too. You course of action looks like this set of options: Buy brand new stock type dampers, and springs. probably cost a bit more than $1k all up, but will last for the remaining life of the car. Put them in, pass inspection, drive on them forever more. Hell, they could even be really nice Bilsteins and Kings or other lower&stiffer springs if you wanted. Get the car engineered as is. ~$1k. Buy new Shockworks coilvers (or MCA) and also pay for engineering. You're spending a lot more here. But these will be the best things that you could drive around on.
    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
    • You just need a different blue slip shop (preferably one you regularly use as a mechanic), and make sure the coil overs are as close as possible to standard height
    • yeah the sugar refining companies were pushing for the same in Oz originally, all fuels were going to have 10% ethanol to make them "cheaper" (noting, that the loss in l/100 might be greater than the decrease in price). I guess they won that fight in Canadia
