Hi guys and gals :domokun:

What we have here;

2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GTR V-spec II N1

One of only two genuine “lightweight” N1 R34’s in Australia, and 45 ever manufactured. This very successful and well-known vehicle won Targa Tasmania outright in 2005 in the hands of Jason and John White. The vehicle is extremely reliable and very competitive, featuring many new upgrades by Melbourne Performance Centre since purchased in 2007. Built and maintained with a “no expense spared” outlook, the vehicle features all the factory N1 racing upgrades, including deleted air con, engine oil cooler & lightweight glass. Some major features are listed here (plenty of other things that i can explain on the phone);

1. Custom built Chrome Molly FIA cage

2. Proflex suspension (recently rebuilt and new rear springs)

3. AP V8 Supercar full-floating rotors

4. Custom made (!!!) billet aluminium brake callipers (8 spot FR, 6 spot Rr)

5. Cobra race seats

6. Motec M800 ECU (data logging)

7. Stilo comms system

8. 8 road wheels

9. Quick release steering wheel

10. Terra-Trip 303+

11. All "N1" features such as engine oil cooler, steel wheel turbos, stronger engine block and oil pump etc...

12. New harness belts March 2008.

13. The car is currently producing in the region of 358 kw at all four wheels on Elf fuel @ 1.5 bar.

This vehicle is wonderfully sorted, fantastic AND exciting to drive, and is still capable of winning any tarmac rally outright. The vehicle is also very suitable for and is fast on the circuit.

As expected, there is a few marks on the vehicle due to the nature of tarmac rallying and it's associated stone chipping, but any marks are indeed minor.

I'm listing this on behalf of the owner, and the asking price is $95,000-

Ph Ben 0438 830 641.

Cheers!

Ok guys, the owner is willing to talk the sphincter of the universe on price! That doesn't mean talk like a the sphincter of the universe, or be a the sphincter of the universe and offer $1-, but talk the sphincter of the universe! This is a GENUINE N1, not a mock up. Only 45 of these built and most have now gone to the big GTR heaven inda sky.

Trust me, anyone serious about entering tarmac rallying or even circuit racing would be MAD not to look at this car! Six days I drove it for TT this year and she didn't raise even a sweat. That either means the car is really good or I'm really soft.

Good to hear shes staying in Aus, what a car. Of those 45 built, the greater majority of them were used by Nismo for Super Taikyu Racing in Japan, so theres easily <20 registered N1's in the world! Way too cheap IMO

I agree it WAS too cheap, but it's very much a buyer's market at the moment!

And yeh, I have no doubt she'll be strait back into the tarmac rallying scene very soon! :O Someone else will get to enjoy it for a while now!

    • Its a 2002 vr-x four VQ25DET, silver. Coil overs, lowered, polished alloys and sport exhaust. Bit of a project, was sitting in a shed for a while but runs and drives great.
    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
