I found these couple of pics of mbt curves, it seems that they are rather flat around the top (i know these are generalisations) with a few degrees +/- not having a huge impact on torque. I read on here somewhere that once you go past mbt that cyclinder temps go up dramatically, is this true?

I also read on here (from sk) that hes never seen an rb loose power from advancing the ignition more and that knock is the limiting factor. I guess what i'm getting at is when I go to set my ignition should I advance it until it knocks and then back it off 4 or 5 degrees in that area. SAU is my main knowledge base at the moment to feel free to steer me in the right direction.
