I get my MV Agusta F4 Brutale back tomorrow after having crashed it early February and breaking my shoulder. I've only just started riding again in the last 2 weeks on my TLR1000 after not riding for 3 months. I'm out of the racing calendar for the rest of the year so my rehab/physio/gym will get me up to strength again for the pressure of racing ... and of course dirt biking is out of the question for a few months yet also. :(

So here's a few pics of my toys and what I do with them ...

man i love all those bikes.....your a nutter.....teach me how to ride lol

Trust me, I've broken a few bones and seen the inside of a hospital more times than I care to remember. I am a bit of a nutter and push hard to see what bikes can do before they (or I) break (in a controlled environment), and I wouldn't give up riding for the world. There is a chance I'll get perished on a bike, but I'd rather that than crossing the road. I'm doing what I love.

I've sold my GSXR race bike and already lining up my next race bike for next season for 2009. I ... just ... can't ... STOP! :P

Breaking my shoulder in February forced me to sell my manual car and look for an auto ... thats how I came across the Stagea. :P

:(

looks like the moto gp bike from the Rizla Suzuki Team

I actually got the decals from someone within the British Super Bike Rizla team :D They also gave me the exact paint code for their blue colour. So its basically a BSB Rizla replica. There is no other TLR in the world with Rizla colours.

Unfortunately, the MotoGP promotions office has now banned my bike from entering the MotoGP Show n Shine due to anti-tobacco laws. Even though I came up with 5 supported reasons why my bike should not be banned.

1. I'm not a tobacco retailer, therefore not promoting tobacco

2. Rizla is a brand of rolly paper, not tobacco, which is only commercially available under the Tally Ho brand name. So how can I "promote" a brand not sold anywhere near the MotoGP

3. The name "Rizla" was going to be blanked, but they also banned the 'blue' colour, saying its too obvious! :)

4. The bike was prepped in Rizla colours to honour Chris Vermulen for winning the PI round the year before on a Rizla Suzuki!

and most importantly ...

5. Last year's Show n Shine winner was a Lucky Strike replica! (an actual tobacco product, not rolly paper!)

Not only was the Lucky Strike replica entered, not only did the judges walk past it for 2 days, but they awarded it the win! :)

I've won it before. If I win the Show n Shine again with my MV or TLR, I'm going to tell the organisers to stick it up their arse. :) I just put it in the show for the free parking and free entry. Don't give a shit about any trophy.

you sound like ur hard done by rubyrs4.....

I think they got bitten from their f**k up with the Lucky Strike. Rather than set a precedent, they got the Hitler squad out to cover their arses for any further "tobacco advertising" blunders. But I still think they just overkilled the scrutineering.

At one stage I was going to cover the references to "Rizla" with pics of porn :)

These are my only toys :) ... Would love a Ducati... but while Im living under my olds roof no motor bikes :(

Get your Ducati, and keep it at my place :) I'll take real good care of it for you.

:D

    • Maybe it's time for a M3 F80 LCI, and leave it stock.  Drive it to a shop, sip on your latte with nutmeg whilst it gets serviced and on the way home swing by and grab some chai mix for the evening.
    • Great work! Thanks for documenting the process.
    • How would you even adjust the clutch if the pedal already has the correct free play? The operating cylinder has no adjustment in mounting position or rod length. On pull style clutches there is also no ability to adjust the bearing carrier. Push type I can see how adjusting the carrier height makes it all work.   If this is the twin plate clutch did you verify that your friction disks were oriented correctly? It's not mentioned in the directions at all you just have to notice that one side the friction disks have a part number on the hub fingers and a subtle coning to those fingers. Another thing that I noticed was if you put the friction disks in backwards the pressure plate fingers will not be even and flat when the clutch is installed.
    • yeah, mechanically, it is probably do-able, off the top of my head, there would be the transfer case, which I believe will bolt up to the rear of the RWD transmission, the shorter rear tail shaft. A front drive shaft, front diff, engine upper sump, front drive shafts, front hubs and front AWD struts (they are shaped around the front drive shafts), LCAs (at the very least from the front suspension) oil cooler.  You might want the rear diff from an AWD too, so you can be certain the front and rear diff rations are identical.  Who knows what brackets and mounts you might need.  So a whole doner car might be the best option if you need to maintain RHD. Then actually making it work, that would be a whole different story.
