Comments: I have built this car up myself, originally had exhaust and FMIC, about the only work I didn't do was the cams and clutch/gearbox (work done by Tilbrook's instead). Serviced every 5000km with Motul 8100, books/records available. Just clocked over 80,000km and will be going in for a full service this week.

Car has been thought out and modified in all areas, has been built not to attract too much attention, never been defected or hassled by police, currently runs on 1.0Bar daily (though was tuned on 1.1Bar ~240rwkw), has been to Mallala once the rest of the time it's my daily driver, average temps on the street are 80-82deg water and 80-85deg oil with the present cooling setup, peak temps never exceeded 88deg water and 94deg oil and the car is never pushed hard on hot days......overall a very complete car as is be it street or track or both

may consider removing suspension and driveline and replace with original standard parts (ie remove coilovers/EDFC/all adjustable arms/clutch/2 way diff/RB25 g'box) with lowered price to help sale

......but why would you when everything has already been done

  • 2 weeks later...
  • 3 weeks later...

realistic offers considered

For $35K I'll throw in spare RB25DET g'box (70,000km), and R33 4.08 diff + S15 Helical 3.69 (both complete).....note these are NOT for sale separately so please don't ask.

other original factory parts that can be negotiated with sale are suspension, rear camber/toe arms, castor rods, AFM, injectors, rims, CD player

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
